I have an old Sony rear projection TV that doesn't show a picture when I turn it on. The TV just flashes this red let that says timer underneath it. It deosn't show and picture nor does it have any sound. Can you suggest anything?
There should be a certain number of blinks then a slight pause then it will keep repeating that sequence of blinks. Let me know the model number of your sony and how many blinks it does in between pauses and I will help you with it. Please respond to this same post when replying.

The TV just blinks it never pauses. I counted at least 100 blinks before I just turned it back off.
It's 10 years old but it looked better than the 52" RCA that I have in my living room. I would hate to trash it.
