Ho folks, this fixya seems to be a good corner for addressing my problem. Lets have a look: At a customers site we have 10 Capio 620 w a Win 2000 Terminalserver.
1) Is there a possibility to use an USB-Stick locally? How can one do it? While plugging it in, no interaction is asked. In "Arbeitsplatz" (my Computer), no additional Device is shown.
2) Is there furthermore the possibility to use other USB-Devices, such as security keypads for electronical signage of documents? When plugging it in Win CE of the Capio is asking for a driver. But there is no "search for"-Button. Seems to me, that the driver has to be inside Win CE and the system is asking for an existing driver on the DOM.
Thx in advance for your assistance! Greetz from Berlin/Germany Marcel
As i answered an other blog, there is no updates what so ever for capio 620 the ownly interesting thing you can do is turn it into a small PC with a hard drive and a CDROM The
BIOS don't support USB bootable devices even with the LEGACY option
ENABLED (it's only for keyboards or mouse), but ther is a way to upgrade to a small LINUX OS, open the
box and you will notice a IDE heather on the board, the problem is it's
not a standard 40 pin IDE heather, it's a mini IDE like for laptop
HDD's, so what i did is i've purchessed two IDE adaptors from MINI do
standard IDE, spliced the power cable for powering the devices, conected
a standard flat 40 pin IDE ribbon cable to both adapters and VOILA i
have a verry thin silent computer
with a 15GB (MASTER) hard drive and a 52X CDROM (SLAVE), obviously with
that hardware i can't close the box anny more but i'm running LINUX
(DSL) fine.

do you hear the speaker beep when power is on? If no beep first try resetting the BIOS with the use of the jumper inside the unit, if it's still not working, try removing the RAM module, if you hear beep's replace the defective RAM module, if it still not working than sorry IT'S DEAD
