To remove the deck from a riding mower you will need to lower the deck fully first. Then laying on the ground look above the deck and see at what points the deck is connected to the rest of the mower. Also at this point, remove the belt from the engine pulley. You should see some pins that can be removed to unhook the deck. For example on a Craftsman 42" there are two on the front of the deck, two above the deck connected to the lowering mechanism and one to guide the back up and down and one that connects the cable/linkage for engaging the deck. Then raise the lowering mechanism up out of the way and the deck should just slide out. With the deck removed take note of the routing, but usually there is a belt routing sticker on the deck.

Under the seat you will find the make and model number, record these and take to your local lawn mower repair parts store and they should have the appropriate replacement belt.

I have a Pioneer double deck CT-w103, when i replaced the belts for both deck, the number one does not make any sound, but the deck two does, how can I fix this problem?

The belt doesn't have anything to do with the sound. You knocked a wire loose or off of a connector somewhere. Check carefully for a loose wire.

The belt on my Pioneer CT-9R has slipped off the left hand side flywheel. Can the belt be repositioned easily or do I need to see professional help?

If it has slipped off then the belt is too loose so you will need to replace it. Too many people try and put ONLY a new belt on and forget all the rest of the work a deck needs. They are only successful for a very short time if at all. I have been working on tape decks for 45 years and have seen just about all brands. Look for a shop that specializes in tape deck repair.

Ive got a Sony tc-ke600s cassette deck which a wobble in the sound when playing or recording and would like to know what I can to so solve this problem? Thanks Mark

Chances are it will be the belts which will be either worn or loose. To replace them make a note of how the fit, take photos if that helps. Once off measure the diameter in mm (you don't need to be spot on with it). Then enter "Cassette drive belt ??mm" into google.

How do you tighten PTO belt?

If the belt is loose it probably needs replaced or has jumped out of one of the pulley or belt guards allowing it to be sloppy. Belts get stretched in many different ways, tall grass, grass getting in the pulley, or they just plain stretch. First though, check to be sure the belt hasn't jumped out of it's normal runway.
