This issue has been resolved with software updates. As is typically the case with *nix systems, updates to correct vulnerabilities are quickly posted to the software repositories.

So long as you update your system when new updates are available, you should have no security issues to worry about!

Hope this helps,
SlaeYer

My Bios crashed in windows so I installed ubuntu and dont know how to use it

Reinstall windows. XP or 7.
Install Virtualbox.
Install ubuntu in virtualbox and practice using it.
There are many manuals for using ubuntu online.
I'd use Ubuntu for dummies just like I did.
Lookfor guides on how to use Virtualbox also.

Will ubuntu work with hard drives that have advanced format ?

Advanced Format drives are supported by linux distributions running kernel 2.6.31 or higher, though for best results 2.6.34 is recommended.
Ubuntu has shipped with support for advanced format drives since Ubuntu 9.10, so if you are setting up a new system with the latest Ubuntu 11.04, you shouldn't experience any problems.
For more information, you may want to have a read of Western Digital's customer service article about support for advanced format drives in Linux; http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5655
You may also want to review the list of kernels included in various Ubuntu distributions in the wikipedia article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ubuntu_releases#Version_history_of_common_programs
If you are considering upgrading an existing system, you can find out what kernel you are running by enteringuname -rat the command prompt.

Windows 7 software jail break

There is no such thing.
If you are trying to change the background on windows 7 starter edition, there are several free tools that can do that for you, I would suggest google'ing it, because there are some slight drawbacks to this procedure, and you will want to read all of that throuroughly before installing the needed software.
If you have no operating system for a machine, may I suggest Ubuntu?
It's free, and available here: ubuntu.com.
I hope this solved your problem, if it didn't, please post back more specifically, thank you!

Ubuntu Linux Kernel Flaw

Updates are provided by Update Manager. Look in the upper-right corner of your screen and see if there is a white star on an orange background. If there is, double-click it. Once inside, press "Check". Finally, click "Install Updates".

If you do not see the white star on an orange background, go to System-->Administration-->Update Manager. Once inside, press "Check". Finally, click "Install Updates".

Ubuntu RAID

You must use the Ubuntu Alternate install disc to install to a RAID system. This is a text mode installer which is similar to the standard graphical installer but uses only the keyboard for navigation. You should read more about the alternate install method and raid in general before you take the Ubuntu raid plunge.

Here's a good article: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=408461
