How can I replace starter pull cord?

Hi James:
Replacing any starter cord is usually a matter of removing the pull start assembly, pulling the cord until it is completely unwound, block the reel so it cannot retract, remove the old cord, (remember EXACTLY how it was connected), install a new cord, unblock the reel so it can retract, re-install the assembly.
It may be necessary to remove covers or engine shrouds to get to the pull start assembly. That's part of the fun of "do-it-yourself".
Cheers..

4 cycle engine runs on partial choke only. Float Bowl Carburetor

Fuel Starvation - Float Bowl Carburetor
1) remove air filter assembly
*be cautious of tearing the mounting gasket. If it does tear, you HAVE to replace it. It is part of the priming system
2) remove the float bowl fastener. This is the main jet
3) carefully remove the float bowl, the rubber o-ring/gasket will not be able to be used if it is removed, you WILL have to replace it
4) using a spray 'carb cleaner'
spray up thru the center of the carburetor
spray and clean the main jet with cleaner and 'tag' wire
(tag wire is very thin, and can be used to clean the hole in the center of the main jet)
5) clean any debris from inside the bowl or carb body
6) re-install bowl and center bolt, air filter assembly

*if you need gaskets, your local lawn & garden dealer can supply. The kit is cheaper than individual gaskets, and all the parts needed to finish the above repair are in the kit.

Need a sigma 6500e assembly diagram

I just purchased a Sigma 6500E generator, there was no instruction manual with it. Did get in stalled, but couldn't find out where to connect the battery cable, also there was nothing about the engine at all. Does the battery get charged when the generator is running ?
I would hope that information is available for this unit. thank you

Where do I find the wheel kit assembly instructions - I cannot find them in any of the books

You have an axle, some washers, the wheel/tire assembly and a cap for the axle. Slide the axle through the frame and out the other side. place a washer on each end and the place the tire/wheel on each end of the axle. Put a washer on each end of the axle and then hammer the cap on the end of the axle to secure the wheel in place.

Want to remove the starter recoil from my powermate generator

I got one of these pieces of junk, and had same problem you described.

You will need to remove the end panel to get to the blower housing. You will have to thread the rope through the handle until you have enough slack to remove the rope from the handle. The end panel should now be free to remove entirely.

Find the 3 bolts that hold the blower housing on, and remove them. Once you get it off, make sure that the rope has a knot in it so it won't get retracted into the pulley recoil assembly. Take a screwdriver and push the rope back down into the pulley (that was my problem). Assembly is opposite of taking apart.

Coleman 7000w gen. I have 120 on only one side of my 240 plug. I disconnected wire assembly from control box.. Could get 120 out of various combinations of the 4 wires but never 240. Should I be able to?...

Hi,
At the wire assembly there should be 2 white and 2 black wires, a white and a black are the ends of one 110v winding. With the 2 white wires connected together you should get 240 from the black wires. This sounds like it is a problem with one of the circuit breakers in the 240v outlet in the control box, check them with an ohm meter.

Regards,
Carl
