Hi there.
With regards to your brand new fryers, I'm sure that the manufacturer has warranty parts and service policy that deals with your present problem. You have to communicate with them to know how far you can go in troubleshooting the equipment, most manufacturers will void the warranty if the equipment is tampered.
Just make use of the warranty.
Visit http://www.imperialrange.com for fryer Owner's Manual and for the location of the nearest distributor in your area.

Imperial Deep Fryer pilot won't stay lite

When the pilot goes out and won't stay lit is is usually because the Thermocouple safety device has failed.

The burners should never be on when the thermostat is off. That is incredibly dangerous. You need a gas registered service technician.

Put a new valve in a imperial fryer pilot lights and stays lit but when i turn the t-stat on it shuts off

The reason is the pilot generator will hold the safety magnet but it won't operate the solenoid.
It is old and weak.Ain't putting out enough power to operate the solenoid. Get a new generator

Hi i have a new imperial fryer and im tring to light it and cant seem to get it to work. any idea on how to get it working?

Have a lighter handy (I use one of the elongated ones for caravaners)
in-between the burners is a pilot light (top right) keep the lighter flame where the gas comes out.
On the right hand side of the fryer at the bottom is a gas valve with a little black knob.
Press and hold the black knob in and gas will come out of the pilot light and ignite by the lighter flame. You need to hold the button in for quite a while. (until it stays lit)
When it stays lit depress the little black knob and turn it anti clockwise. Gas comes out of the burners and ignites from the pilot light. When it reaches temp. it will cut out.
To turn it off turn the little black knob clockwise. To turn the pilot light off, push and turn clockwise.

Pilot will not stay lit. Will light and goes out after a few minutes!

Remove the thermocouple and clean the threaded end carefully.
Then screw it back in and try it.
If it continues to extinguish, replace the thermocouple.

Imperial fryer IFS-40

I had a very simular problem. My fryer would do exactly as you described, but sometimes the pilot light would stay on until the burners tried to re-ignite and then it would go out.
I finally had to call the gas company. They took the pilot light apart and cleaned it. The fryer works perfect now.
Hope this helps!
