I get error message that says "add water" -- how do I do that?

it should be automatic if your machine is plumbed in correctly, if it is not plumbed in a hose, supplied with the machine, should be connected to the cold kitchen tap to top up the machine when required.

Forgot to open water supply for my new washing machine and when it started flashing I only realized the problem. As soon as it washes it trips my main switch and says Earth Leakage????Please help!!!!!

Hello Dora,

An Earth-leakage circuit breaker (ELCB) is a safety device used in electrical installations with high Earth impedance to prevent shock. It detects small stray voltages on the metal enclosures of electrical equipment, and interrupts the circuit if a dangerous voltage is detected.

You should have an appliance service person come out for a service call since there may be a dangerous shock hazard present on the machine.

Thanks,
Mario

There is electricity in the washing pot. What could the problem of?

You need a good ground to eliminate shock. There should be a ground wire to the case, and to the transmission. Did you leave one off when you serviced it?

My used washer makes a bang win it goes to wash after the soak cycle. It looks like it is missing springs in the bottom lower front between the motor basket and chassis. Is this suppose to have springs ?

washing machine normally have 2-3 springs on top of the drum and 2-3 shock absorbers supporting the drum from underneath, check one of the shock absorbers has not become detached from the drum or cabinet.

My LG washing machine shocks me when plugged to the mains. Can someone advise?

IMMEDIATELY unplug the machine and call a professional service tech -- this could kill. There is a short to ground. After, or during, the service call, a GFCI outlet should be installed for the washer. The GFCI will prevent electrical faults from creating a potentially lethal shock hazard.

Im getting electric shocks from my washing machine

Hi,
If you are getting shocked, it is because the electrical outlet is not grounded properly
Fix the outlet and you will be okay.

Yes, because there may be a problem with your incoming electric service. Call your power company to check out their equipment, if their equipment is ok, then call a reputable electrician, because the problem may involve your equipment
