I picked up a used westinghouse monitor, LCM-19v5, and it works fine as a plug and play. I was wondering if there might be a driver for it to download that might make it even more crisp and sharp.

This monitor only uses plug and play drivers and unfortunately there does not appear to be much support for them on Westinhouse's support site.

My Westinghouse LCM 19v5 will not powerup

Look for bad caps with bulging tops, similar to the 19" version as shown here:

Make sure to use correct type caps for switching power supply.

My monitor Westinghouse Mod# LCM-19v5

Hello,

The most common thing that causes no power or a blinking power light and no picture is a failure of the power supply board. The board can be repaired and the monitor will be as good as new. To repair the board you just need to replace a few parts called capacitors. Here is a link to repair information on the Westinghouse LCM-19V5

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

Power light flickers green, no image

Check the capacitors in the power supply, see pictures here for a guide so you know what to look for.

I believe the 19v5 uses the same chassis as the 20v5.
Post back what you find so we can guide you further.

Screen goes black after fraction of a second

More likely to be bad capacitors in the power supply, see LCM-20V5 (almost the same chassis as used in LCM-19V5) example: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Post back what you see insdie so we can guide you further.

Power cord issue? Black Screen with image issue?

The powere cord you are using is fine (the cord is made to handle the 10A load, you are only drawing 1.5A). The monitor uses switching mode power supply that can handle any voltage INPUT between 100v up to 240v. More likely to be bad caps in the power supply. See example of failed Westinghouse due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Monitor works for a fraction of a second

See article written by sillybit (me) for the Westinghouse 19v5. My 20v5 had bad caps in the power supply - it did the exact same thing as yours. $8 worth of parts from radioshack and an hour or two is all mine needed.
