Accessing filter in indoor wall mounted LG air conditioner R18AWN-NC9

You should just be able to pull the front up from either end. It just press fits on - finger tips either side - presumably a wall mount?
This will expose the filters which just slide out for easy cleaning. Make sure unit is off as it will blow all the dirt all over you.
Tap clean outside or hoover them.

Does it give you a code? Try turning only one at a time to see if that works. I would like to help you but need more information.

My Samsung is mounted in the wall of my office. Once I turn the air conditioner off,it starts to leak water for several minutes. Any way to stop this? Frank

When the unit is on, go on the back side of the wall where the unit is
mounted. If this is a split system find the condensate hose and make sure it is not plugged and is draining.

If this is a window unit again go in the backside of the wall and see if it
is dripping there. If it is not, take the unit out of the wall, remove the top
and wash underneath the coils. Install the unit so it slants to the back.

Geckos cuase my airconditioning unit to seize up.

Place moth balls inside the unit: it acts as a gecko repellent. Just take care you do not place them in the airway as it may carry its smell. Also, when you visit a grocery store look in the pest control section you can find some sort of stickers which repel them.

Mitsubishi Air Conditioner FDKN Series leaks water after 30 mins

It could be one of two things -

1) The unit is not hanging level (assuming this is a wall mount, through the wall, or window unit), or
2) The condensate drain or trough to the drain is plugged/clogged/filled with trash.

Through the wall vs. window installation

window mount doesn't have to extend out on the back to clear the side /top intake vents because a window is about 2" thick,
but a wall mount has to have about 6 to 8 " clearing before the intakes vents can be exposed. you can't have your intakes buried in the wall.
in short if you see about 8 " of dead metal in the center area (just behind the window sill) then you can mount it in a wall as it will protrude far enough to clear the side /top intakes.

a sleeve just gives you a way to balance / attach to the outside wall
