Question about Casio Exilim EX-Z77 Digital Camera

1 Answer

FinePix A405 This is a good little camera and I'm so dissappointed that this has happened. I have recently returned from a family holiday in France where I last used my camera. On inspecting the camera and even before turning it on I could see that the 'little window' (sorry don't know the technical name for it) has cracked. Because of this I'm unable to transfer pictures from the camera to my PC. Is it viable to repair. CT

Very simple. you need to get an xD card reader from your local electronics store ( CC or Best buy). it's very simple. the memory card goes into the card reader that ensemble plugs into any of the usb ports in your computer. once plugged in, the computer will recognize it as external memory, just like a flash/thumb drive and your comptuer can read the pictures off of the card without any interaction with the camera itself.

I cannot find a driver for my Fujifilm A405 as I have gone to Vista from Win98/xp

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Hi, Actually this problem caused by the malfunctioning of the sled motor gears, The method to open and replace the motor and gears is technically difficult but not expensive because the lens block assembly repair in most models in fuji is available. Therefore, contact any expert to rectify the problem. Thanks for using fixya.

Check make sure you did not lock the pictures.

You can lock through playback menu settings or from quick key (little lock key on camera).

Also some mem cards have a little slide lock to protect images from being erased.

Hope this helped. Good Luck! enjoy your trip. Need more help comment back.

Hi,

The camera's charge-couple device (CCD) within the camera must have suffered a short-circuit due to the sea water, rendering the imaging device damaged. As a result, the battery would drain pretty quick while its switched on.

Please take the camera to the nearest service center to have it repaired.

Thanks!
