Depend on what part of the country the standard for r-values for homes are! Check a reputable contractor or better yet, call the city mechanical inspector for the correct Btu's per sq. footage of dwelling or establishement! Thank-you-very-much!

I'm getting a e 06 code and it shuts down the boiler

This should be a overheating issue , check for clogged blocked exhaust vent pipe , and make sure there is enough water flow .
A boiler tech may be needed as boilers can be dangerous if not serviced properly .

Boiler won't light you here fan kick in then light comes up red on b can anyone help please?

First try to ignite the pilot light yourself. Instructions for igniting your boiler can be found in your boiler's manual or sometimes in the inside door of the boiler. If your boiler's pilot light won't ignite, you either have a gas supply problem or you'll need to call in a Gas Safe Register approved engineer for a repair.for details click

We have just bought a brand new 480cd gas rayburn boiler/cooker and it is making a very loud constant whistling noise. When the cooker part only is on there is no noise but just when boiler is going

This can be caused by several things. Incorrect Gas to Air mixture in the burner air intake valve. . Debris in the gas line to the boiler. To high a gas pressure. Depending on whether you installed this unit or not, will determine if you should try to repair or troubleshoot these issues. If it was professionally installed call the company that installed it. The only one you can't troubleshoot is the gas pressure. That needs to be done by a certified gas technician.

Hope this helps steer you in the right direction to solving the problem.

My new Laars JVS 225 boiler make a whining noise when heating up. It does it on all zones. This was a replacement for a Teledyne Larrs that had a leak but ran quiet. IPressure is 15 lbs and temp is 155...

My new Laars NeoTherm boiler (NTH150) was making a whining noise soon after install. The noise was audible through most of the home. Replacing the air/gas blower solved the problem. Correct sizing of pumps is also important to reduce (water-flow related) noise. Having done all that my Laars boiler still isn't particularly quiet in its start-up and (modulating) operation. It should NOT be located below or next to a bedroom.

Basement flooded boiler won't

TURN WATER OFF TO UNIT AND ALL POWER AND GAS. EXTRACT ALL WATER AND REPAIR PLUMBING TO THE BOILER. IF WATER
IS COMING OUT FROM THE BOTTOM, REPLACE BOILER...
IF PLUMBING WAS REPAIRED SUFFICIENTLY AND NO WATER IS PRESENT...TURN ON WATER AND CHECK FOR LEAKS THEN TURN ON ALL POWER AND GAS TO THE UNIT AND RELIGHT
PILOT....BE SURE THERE IS NO SMELL OF GAS PRESENT WHEN YOU LTE THE PILOT..IF IT DOESN'T LITE YOU MAY HAVE TO REPLACE THERMOCOUPLE OR CLEAN BURNER.
