I WANT TO CONVERT MY TOSHIBA SD501 KB DVD PLAYER
INTO A MULTI-REGION PLAYER. HOW CAN I ACCOMPLISH
On most of the DVD players regional set up cannot be changed.However just for trying; type your
players brand and model number into goggle along with 'hack code' and
you should be able to find some codes to change the region code on your
player.You need to find the correct 'Hack' for your model.
Google 'DVD Hacks', there are many sites out there that will provide the details.
It generally consists of pressing a secret sequence of buttons on the remote.
Like holding the mute button down and simultaneously pressing 6758, they are all different.
It then enters a special mode where you can change the DVD region or make it region free.
my experience the major brands like Sony, Sharp, JVC, Toshiba,Panasonic etc are
harder to change, I guess the major players do not want copyright
The cheaper DVD players as unbranded, or never heard of, are better.They are all "MULTI REGION " or "region free "players play any region dvd.
