If you mean the LCD display on the back of the camera you can adjust the brightness in the camera menu. Press the menu button, move to the yellow spanner with 2 dots top right, below this you'll see LCD brightness, highlight this and press set you'll then go to another screen showing a scale 1 to 7 use the left / right button to move the pointer closer to 7 to increase the screen brightness.

Manaual says:
Standby mode for saving power: press the shutter-release button halfway.
Camera and computer are connected via the USB cable.
Camera and TV are connected via audio/video cable or HDMI cable.
Adjust monitor brightness.
When the internal temperature of the camera is high, the monitor darkens to reduce heat generation. When internal temperature cools, the monitor brightens again.
When the power-on lamp is covered after the camera has automatically increased monitor brightness, the monitor may darken.
If you did not drop teh camera, or cracked it in your backpocket, perhaps you also chould check the battery. If it is charged, and still has enough capacity.

I can't see digital display on the screen

Have you tried to adjust the monitor brightness? There is a function in the menu for Monitor Brightness that will allow you to make the LCD display lighter or darker. Go to Mode Menu and then down to Setup tab and then to the icon for Monitor Brightness (page 88 of the advanced user manual explains how to set this up).

You are looking at two different monitors with different settings. In most cases you will need to do some editing yourself on your computer because of the difference. Or the brightness can be done in a lab.

Camera monitor very light

The LCD Monitor Brightness has a range of -5 to +5.

Rotate the mode dial to Setup. Turn on your camera.
Go into the Setup Menu, then Custom, then select LCD Brightness. Make adjustments as needed.

Let me know if this fixes the LCD monitor. Thank you, Binary Bob
