Im using Aspire 4530 laptop.. My webcam driver and devices are all alright but the webcam is NOT WORKING... I need help... Any suggestion?

try to reinstall your drivers

Select the computer model
Select Operating System
Click Drivers
Select Camera (Suyin) and download it.
Once downloaded install it on your computer.

Try to roll back the driver in device manager. You can try uninstalling the usb root hub associated with that device.

Is the driver for the Crystal Eye WEBcam installed, enabled and working?
If not then download the drivers from the Acer WEB site Make sure you select the model of your laptop and the XP version of the drivers you that require matches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support: -

There are 2 WebCam Drivers for Acer Laptop If you are using SuYin Driver try Bison and Vice Versa

Try using the Bison Driver instead of the SuYin one

Does messenger see the webcam? if it does not, try uninstalling the drivers and installing the up to date drivers.

Reinstall the drivers.

really need a little more info to simplify diagnosis but lets start here --

click on--
start -> control panel -> system -> hardware -> device manager

when the window opens, do you see any yellow signs with exclamation points in them? if so what heading are they under?

if not go to this link and find your camera and download the drivers and install--

I understand that you have tried Suyin and Bison drivers. Have you tried using a Logitech compatible driver?

Alternately and simple, if the problem is with an APPCRASH : Acer Crystal Eye webcam.exe,
then pls try removing all the contents of your Picture Folder and relocating them, leave the folder empty/blank.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
