The BIOS logos are normally held on the CMOS chip on your mainboard, The fact that your screen shows such an error message may indicate that you CMOS chip has developed a fault which will need the BIOS to be re-flashed. If you cannot get the OS to load past the BIOS screen then you will need to get the BIOS flashed by a Toshiba Authorised Service Partner.

You may also like to try to by=pass the LOGO screnn by pressing the ESC key as soon as you have pressed the power button. This should then show you the BIOS load progress.

pls do rate the solution

thanks.

Looking at the error you provided, the operating system is missing, or the harddrive is faulty or bios is misconfigured.

I would suggest using the windows setup cd or recovery cds to fix the problem

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Ekse

I am giving you a step which you should try once and see if it makes any difference.

    Method (Power cycle)

    You
need to remove the battery, adapter and any other device connected to
the computer (May be any additional cards or any wires as for Ethernet
    or speakers or external mouse/keyboard).

Nothing should be connected at all.

    Now
Press and hold the power button for 25 seconds (It wont show anything).
This is a step to release any static charges developed, which may
surely caused the kind of issue you are facing.

Now connect the battery and the adapter and check whether it works or not.
    Hope it helps

    Sammy

Toshiba laptop will not go psat the toshiba logo

There are a number of stages to go through. For all these please ensure that the laptop is switched off. First, remove the battery, then plug the mains charger lead in and try to boot, if you get past the splash screen than it is the battery at fault, if not then the next step is to switch the laptop off close the lid and turn it over, on the bottom you should see an access door with either one or two screws, open this access panel up and remove the hard drive, turn the laptop back over and try to boot up again, it should go past the splash screen and the detect that there is no hard drive installed, if it dose not get past the splash screen then turn the laptop back over re install the hard drive, try again to boot up, if still no good then try removing one of the memory chips, these are found under the same access panel. Try again if still no go then remove the other memory chip and replace the first one you took out. If no joy after all these steps, then sorry I have no further suggestions. Good luck.

How do i reset my toshiba lap top

If you get a virus on your computer, information may become corrupted and lost forever. If this happens to your Toshiba laptop, many times the only recourse is to restore your Toshiba to its factory settings. Ideally before starting the process you should have all things you wish to save on an external hard drive or backed up some other way. Resetting the laptop is good to do once a year to ensure no viruses are lingering.
1. Power on the laptop. Wait to see the "Toshiba" logo appear on the screen.
2. Press "F12" when the logo appears. This will bring up the utility menu. Click "Restore Original Factory Package" or press "1" to execute. Click "next" to begin the restoration process.
3. Follow the prompts that require you to enter the time, date, name, etc.
I hope you find it very helpful.

Please rate it.

Thank you very much.

Laptop screen and external screen have lost color completely, only getting black and white

In my opinion if you have black and white screen internal and external screen while booting and while you are into windows desktop you have a faulty graphic card. Common fault on toshiba laptops.
Actualy the reason for their sales drops dramaticaly in the past few years ;)

Laptop does not like to boot, takes several tries to got bios screen. Sometimes BIOS screen shows up with missing or bad OSB LOGO. Is there a fix for this?

If it is taking that long to get to the bios screen you may have cpu or ram problems. Toshibas tend to run hot and then the cooling system takes little to plug up and makes things worse. If it has ever turned off suddenly when running or been almost too hot to touch you may have damaged the cpu. Or if you get lucky it may have caused the ram or cpu to become loose in the socket. If you reseat them it can fix it. The ram is easy to get at but the cpu requires disassembling the laptop.

Toshiba EA60 laptop wont go in boot sequance, its stop after toshiba logo and gives a black screen with blinking curser in top lef corner

Its probably not the BIOS but the board warping beneath the CPU Socket or similar.. Dont flash it (BIOS) or it will probably kill the chip. Let me look up the model number...
