If you open the camera of your phone and it says feature not supported, then it means there is a problem somewhere on the unit. The problem could either be a software problem or a hardware problem.
If it is a software problem is most likely is that there is a virus on the phone that has corrupted the file that starts up and run the camera. The virus might have been contacted via file transfer from another phone, bluetooth device, downloads, or from a computer.
SOLUTION: The solution to that is for you to either format the phone or flash it and the virus will be erased. To format the phone, all you need to do it to go to your phones menu, then you select the settings, from the settings, scroll to restore factory settings, then it will either prompt you to enter a security code or not, if it prompts you to enter a security code, enter the phones security code and it will automatically wipe out any unnecessary file from the phone. If you do not have the security code of the phone, then what you have to do is to get the phone to a repairman to use the appropriate software for your phone to flash it. All unwanted files will be wiped out of your phone.
Be sure not to have any important document on your phone, if not, restoring the factory settings or flashing the phone will wipe out all files that do not come with the phone.
If it is a hardware problem, then it means either water damaged the camera, or it fell and hit a hard object. This can result in imbalance or damage in the camera.
SOLUTION: If it got imbalanced, all you need to do is to disassemble the phone
and resit the camera and plug its connection ribbon properly. And if it
is bad, what you have to do is to replace the camera. The steps to
disassemble the phone is as follows.
- First remove the battery cover, battery and memory card.
- Run your plastic tool around the edge of the join of the front cover to
- You should now have the front cover removed. Remove the six screws
you can see.
- Lift the main body of the phone away from the rest of the housing.
- Then you turn to the back of the panel and unhook off the camera, then you replace it with a new one,
- Then you ensure the connecting cable is properly seated.
- Then you reverse the process to reassemble it back together.
If you are not familiar with such technical activity, i will strongly advice you seek the assistance of a repairman in order for there not to be any damage inside the unit of the phone.
I hope this helped.
Take care and good luck.
