Its possible that the installation had an error while online and the CD.

Go to control panel then select add/remove programs and make sure that all instances of yiour HP printer software is removed. Remove the printer from your computer. After that shut down the computer and then turn it back on. Put the CD in the computer and then run the CD and follow the directions. It should be the one to tell you when to plug in the printer. if in case it gives an error at the end with it not finding the printer. Dont uninstall the software just look for anything that has a question mark or exclamation point in the device manager. if so right click on that and hit update driver but make sure the CD is in the drive.

Ok so that means it indeed is the cable. Have them check it then get back to me. After that it should be fine.

All of a sudden my Kodak ESP5250 "can not read the memory card". I have tried both the existing memory card (one I've used repeatedly in this printer) and a new one. The printer was purchased in June...

this is probably due to damage to the memory card or the printer itself.the best way is to try using the memory card on another printer or compatible device and see if it works(this is just to clarify where the problem is coming from) after this you can try dusting or cleaning the memory card port and wiping off dust from the panel of the memory card and see if that helps..hope this was helpful?

The hp Photosmart C5180 Printer I use at work keeps restarting itself over and over in a continuous cycle. How do I get it out of this ? I have tried unplugging it ?

I read over the FAQ's and Troubleshooting on hp.com's website and couldn't find a reference to a 'restsart' condition over and over in a continuous cycle.

I was going to suggest unplugging it, but that you already tried.

I think there's something wrong with the board, but to replace would exceed the cost of buying a new printer. And I'm not sure if hp.com would even service it.

Contact HP.com and find your local partner using the following:

that is a part of that printer design. Something sadly you can not get rid of. Believe me, I have tried, and Xerox engineering told me that is part of how the machine is supposed to work. Wish we could eliminate that.

The problem here might be the cartridge. You need to replace it.

Canon MP160 Printer not working

Probably waste ink adsorber full
Try:

a) turn off the printer
b) press and hold <resume(red triangle in a circle button)> + press and hold <power> -> result green led
c) release only <resume>
d) do not release <power> press 2 times <resume> and release both
e) 4 times press <resume>
f) 1 time press <power>
g) again <power> - > printer turned off

You have reseted the waste ink adsorber counter
But if the adsorber is really full (15-30% probability) -> then you must disassemble the printer and replace this adsorber. If you will not find another adsorber you may wash and dry it very very good?? (bad english sorry please) and dry

Error Msg: Maintenance drawer A is missing - Phaser 8200

There is supposed to be an orange chip on the back of that tray.
If that is not present or seating properly that will cause that problem.
Pull out the green tray and see if the chip is snapped on the back ot the maintenance tray.

The problem is the Printhead. The ink has dried up and therefore does not print. If you want to save the printer for  about  $15-20 there is solution that I bought that supposedly unclogges dried up printheads, I have NOT tried it yet, but being in the field it's just a matter of time. E-mail me back in case you have not thrown out the printer yet.

Canon MP 600 Will Not Turn On .... grumble.

I had this same issue. Lost power in the house for just a second, but after the printer would not turn on. I think that the loss of power caused the printer to get stuck in a locked state. Tried everything I could think of including changing outlets that the printer was plugged into but nothing seemed to work. Saw a troubleshooting tip on the Canon webpage about unplugging the unit for 5 minutes and thought it was hooey, but tried it anyway. Ended up leaving the unit unplugged for probably 15 minutes and when I re-plugged it in it fired right up.
