SD card not recognized

What happens when you tried to plug-in SD card to the computer?

Have you made any recent changes to the computer prior to the issue?

To make the SDHC be recognized by the computer, we need to ensure that the card reader works in Windows 7 first. Please check if the card reader is recognized properly by the computer and you have installed the driver for it.

Meanwhile, you can plug some other storage cards to the card reader and see how it works.

I would suggest you to refer the link below
A Secure Digital (SD) card may not be recognized on a Windows 7 based computer.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981642

Uninstall all the Generic USB drivers and reinstall.

1. Open Device Manager.

2. In "Disk Drives" dropdown, uninstall the "Generic SD/MMC USB device" drive.

3. Restart computer.

4. Insert SDHC card.

Hope this helps.

Hi, how do i transfer my pictures from my phone to my laptop

If your phone will connect to your laptop, you need a program like Picassa or Scanner and Camera wizard with is a standard program with Xp. Also, you may need extra drivers for your laptop to recognize your phone. Alternatively, if you phone has a storage card, you can get a card reader to transfer pictures directly via the usb port

Whenever i put the sd card my notebook dont recognize the memory card

test different cards as it can be the card itself. if your laptop card reader is not able to recognize any support card type, you may need to reinstall its driver or get a replacement for the device. Your other option is to use a USB external card reader to access the SD card. Make sure the card is not locked as well

Its not recognizing my sd card reader

Make sure you can see the Secure Digital host controller and
Texas Instruments PCI GemCore based smartcard controller in the Device Manager. If its missing, re-download the drives from HP.

If you are trying to use a SDHC Memory Card in the reader,
you will need updated Win XP TI drivers as the ones on the HP site
do not support the newer memory cards.

This goes for the nx5000's nx6110's nc6120's and nc6320's.
Updated XP TI drivers are needed

Card reader on MSI A6000 doesn't reconize card

Try different cards in the slot, if none of the cards are being recognized then go into the device manager and make sure the card slot drivers are intstalled, if you see something that says pci base device then that means the drivers are not installed.

In that case you need to install the drivers for it. If after you install the drivers the slot still doesn't work then that means the slot is bad and since its built onto the motherboard the motherboard needs to be replaced.

Compaq 6910p Notebook does not recognize a SD-MMC memory card when inserted into the slot. The memory card is fine, as I can access it using a USB card reader, but it is not recogized in the Notebook's...

If the memory card is recognized and readable in a USB card reader, the memory card is fine. If the 6910 does not recognize the memory card, either the card is not properly seated in the 6910 card reader slot, the card slot is not connected to the main board of the 6910 or you need a DIFFERENT device driver for the 6910.
