Nothing but black after replacing broken touch screen

Open the phone back up and unplug all the FLEX cables from the system board then plug all the FLEX cables back in, be sure that the flex cables are aligned correctly and full plugged in. Then try the phone again, I know there has been 4 times where I replaced an LCD and upon turning it on had nothing but black screen. Did what I said above and 3 times the LCD worked perfectly(must have been a FLEX cable not seated all the way) and the 4th time it was a bad LCD screen.

My screen will go normal then go back to white screen then to black screen

check first to make sure that all flex sockets are firm and if problem continues, change your flex cable. flex cable is that fibre that joins the upper part to the lower part.

The flex cable is the weak link in all Flip style phons, so yes replace the ribbon/flex cable and most likely it will cure the problem.

There is no sure way to know if the problem is the cable without taking apart the phone, and testing or replaceiong parts.
How ever, if your screen goes blank when you touch the cable, then the problem is either the ribbon cable, or the screen itself that has a broken connector, or in rare cases the connetor on the small board.

Check first if the cable is not just misplaced in the connector, and eventually adjust it.

Replace the cable, that cost a couple of dollars. If you still get the problem replace the LCD display.

Headset not working

the speaker and headset are separate devices joined by a very delicate flex cable. You are probably about to experience total flex cable failure soon. You'll know when that happen because your phone will be totally dead. Have either of the flip axle pins broken? You can tell if there is excessive play on either side of the flip part of the phone. If it is loose on one side, your flex cable will fail very soon. Have it service under contract. The part costs a hundred bucks at Sprint store otherwise. You can buy it for a lot less and install it yourself if you are dexterous.

Flex cable(flat type)

The cable isn't nearly as fragile as the LCD screen. It sounds like the screen is broken. The flex cable is alot cheaper to replace, so you can always try that first.
