Locate the area from where the smell is emiting. You need to see the rear bottom to see the pump and the motor. Check after the smell is noticed - remove the power and touch the pump and motor - If so there is fault on one of them. If not check the capacitor to the motor, the program controller unit. Your observation is most important to confirm.

Hotpoint WT 960G Smell from the machine when in use.

Usually the smell is caused by bacteria from the soiled water when washing is done on a cool wash. I have told customers before that to clear the smell you need to do several hot washes maybe using your white so as not to fade or run colours and in time the bacteria will clear and smell will also.

How do i remove the drum from a Hotpoint Aquarius WML 560 P

Hi,
There is not much you can do to remove the drum of your WML 560 P Washing Machine...you can remove the bearings and door but you can't remove the drum personally. You'll have to take it in for service but here is a manual for you which you can read through to see if there is anything about removing the drum. How to remove the detergent dispenser drawer aquarius WML 520

Instructions for the machine, and specifically the detergent dispenser drawer, are here:

http://www.manualslib.com/manual/70853/Hotpoint-Wml-520.html?page=10#manual

It does NOT show how to remove the drawer. It is likely that the top of the machine must be "popped off" to do so. The best advise is to search for a Repair Manual if you simply must get the drawer out. I believe one of the manuals shown on this webpage may be the repair manual:

http://www.index-of-pdfs.com/hotpoint-aquarius-wml-520-user-guide-pdf.html

Most washing machine tops are simply a pressure fit that snaps on to the body. A firm grasp on the front sides of the top and a brisk pull may well pop it off.

Be sure to unplug the machine before you attempt any service!

Washing machines can be full of water AND electricity. That is most certainly a recipe for one, big, hydro-electric

Spin not working properly, sounds ok but clothes are too wet once complete and the independent spin cycle leaves clothes soaking!!!

Sounds like a small blockage in the outlet pipes, possibly just in the filter but check all outlet pipes. Just done one the other day and it was a clothes button that had passed out of the machine through the pump to the outlet pipe but had turned sideways inside the outlet pipe.

Terrible smell coming from our washing machine

remove bottom cover at back of machine, loosen large jubilee clip on hose between drum and pump. pull hose down and off, take out strainer basket and pull top off, clean top, ball and basket by running under tap. clean out hose with an old rag. reassemble strainer and put back into hose, in the correct position. fix hose back on to drum and tighten clip. run machine on a hot wash and all should be fine.
