With any luck, you can get into programming from the main phone, or any phone programmed to have access by PROGRAM **1234. The soft keys will guide you, but you're looking for location 004 which is the namess for extensions.

At least that's the way it works on my 848.

How do I know which is the specific KX T7630 phone to program extension names on?

When you press PROGRAM ** on the right phone, it won't beep at you. By default, extension 101 is a programming phone. Access can be granted to any and all phones.

I don't know how to add extension directory for new internal phone.

Guessing you mean extensions on the buttons, because the "directory" is part of the system. I'll do two things, give you a manual link, and tell you how to do the buttons.

Press PROGRAM a button and dial 1 + ext no. STORE. You can do all the buttons at once by repeating this sequence and press PROGRAM to exit. Here's a manual http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TDA/200_TDA_OM_06-121.pdf

I would like to change all my extension directory to reflect all new employees.

It's a cumbersome task, best done by the dealer from the Maintenance Console. If you have phone access to Manager's programming, the names reside in program 004. Like a Cell phone, you use the keypad to spell out the names. Full instructions are located in the Operations Manual of a TDA system.

How can i change the extension numbers and names on kx-t7630

It requires access to system programs 003 and 004. That can be done from the extension authorized for programming, usually extension 101. There is no "swap" command and we usually move the hardware at the frame rather than in software, but you can do it if you find a vacant number. An example would be to swap 102 and 108 you make 102 some other extension, like 402, then make 108 102 and then 402 108. Yeah. Sure.

Anyway, the user's guide (UG) for your specific system (not the phone) has instructions for the System Manager that details how to program Extensions and Names.

How do I program numbers into the system (not personal) speed dial directory on the KX-T7630

The installer or system manager has access to system program 001, either by a phone or by the maintenance console. All system speed dial numbers and names are entered from there.

When I try to hook a second kx-t7630 to another (parallel) I can make outgoing calls but cannot answer them.

I'm guessing you're using the Digital XDP port. Each of the phones has an extension and that 2nd extension number has to be added to the ICD group as a phone for the lines to blink or ring on the 2nd phone.

It requires system programming.
