Door doesn't open

There is an emergency door release tab/pull ring attached to the bottom of the door lock assembly.

The lower access panel can be taken off by removing the screws and then reaching up under the door lock and pulling downwards on the pull ring. Pull down and then you can open the door.

Amana NFW7200TW washer - door seal ring has detached

The ring is a clamp that keeps the rubber part, called the bellow, attached to the front panel of the washer. To reinstall hook the edge of the bellow around the lip of the opening in the front panel (the hole through which you put your laundry). Then take the clamp and seat it in the groove of the bellow behind the lip of the front panel. The spring on the clamp should pull the bellow tight to the opening of the panel.

The step by step procedure to replace the head gasket are:
  1. Open door and pull on inside of gasket to expose screws or 1/4 nuts.
  2. Loosen[do NOT remove] all screws and pull old gasket out.
  3. Place new gasket in sink of hot water to soften it and put back around door.
  4. Snug up a couple of screws on each side and test seal by shutting door.
  5. You may need to adjust inner panel until just right..then tighten all screws

Kenmore elite washer metal band on gray seal

The retaining ring inserts into a groove in the rubber seam around the perimeter of the door where it attaches to the door frame. To reinstall, first make sure the door boot is fitting snugly around the door frame opening. Sometimes when the retaining spring comes loose, the rubber may pull away from the door frame. Beginning at the top of the door, start inserting the wire hoop back into the groove. Make sure the wire spring points towards the bottom. As you work your way around the door to the 4 and 8 o'clock positions, you will need to maintain some constant downward pressure while pulling the spring apart in order to snap it back into place with your thumbs. It would be advisable to use a second set of hands to hold the wire hoop in place while doing this as it has the tendency to want to come out of the groove.

If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Metal ring fell off

If you are talking about a small metal hoop with a spring on one end, it is the outer bellow retaining clamp. The bellow is the rubber door seal.

If this is not the spring you are talking about, please post back and elaborate a bit more on what the part looks like to see if I can assist you better. (i.e., size, dimension, where you found the part, etc.)

I hope you find this information helpful.

Kenmore front load he washer

try to unplug the unit and open the door manually by pulling a plastic ring attached to the door lock.
you can access the ring if you open the top cover of the unit and feel the ring where the door lock is and pull it down.

if you were able to open the door, you can check the clothes and remove the one that was jammed on the door. then test the unit for normal operation.

Door wont open

The door switch could have stuck closed. there is a way to open it up manually.
if you can just access the water pump filter cover, and at the back part of the door switch you will find a plastic ring attached to the door switch, pull it down to open the door.

drain first the water if there is water left in the unit by slowly opening the water drain filter cover and drain the water slowly.

Metal ring aroound rubber seal fell off.

Start with the spring at the bottom, work the retainer around until the seal starts to pull away from the washer. Now grip the loop that the spring attaches to on the side that isn't in place and open the retainer. Push the retainer in place and release the spring.

MY WASHER DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

After following all the suggestions in the Guide, (press chimes and extra rinse for 3 seconds etc.) all it did was gave more codes not listed in the guide.I tried unplugging it for 15 minutes and plugging it back in. I moved on in the guide and checked to see if the hoses were kinked or obstructed. Then AFTER UNPLUGGING the washer I removed the back panel, it was very easy, only 2 screws. I looked at all of the wires and where they connected and made sure they were all "plugged in all the way". One wire was connected but not "all the way snug". I pushed it snug, never thinking that this could make any real difference, replaced the panel , plugged it back in an it now works as always.
