iTunes is always the first choice for most of iPod users when it comes to transferring music from computer. It can help you transfer and backup files easily.
 1. Connect your iPod to PC via matched USB cable.
 2. Click the phone icon on the left corner of the interface. To manage your media files manually, you'd better go to "Options" under "Summary"tab, cancel "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected" and check "Manually manage music and videos". Don't forget to click "Apply" when it's done.
 3. Import music into iTunes library from computer by clicking "File" and then "Add File to Library". Once transferred successfully, you can select the music icon on top to see all the songs.

How to get music onto an iPod without removing the previous music

Sometimes when adding music to your iPod through iTunes on a new computer or another computer, the program will attempt to synchronize the device with the music available on the computer. All songs on the iPod, but not in your iTunes library will be removed. This can cause problems for people who just want to add songs to your iPod without losing their old music. Fortunately, Apple allows users to manually add music to the device, avoiding the problems of synchronization.

1. Open iTunes.

2. How to add music on an ipod that is syned with another computer

Syncing music manually
If you prefer not to automatically sync music content to your iPod or iPhone, you can set up manual syncing.

Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes.
Select your iPod or iPhone in the Devices section on the left side of the iTunes window.

In the main iTunes browser window, select the Summary tab.
Select the option to "Manually manage music and videos" or "Manually manage music." This will deselect the automatic sync settings for the Music, Movies, and TV Shows tabs. Automatic syncing for Podcasts, Photos, Contacts, and Games can be individually disabled by selecting those options in each of those tabs. Note: When manually managing iPod, disk use is enabled and iPod must always be manually ejected in iTunes before disconnecting it from your computer.

Click Apply.
To manually add music, audiobooks, movies or TV shows, choose one of these categories under Library on the top-left of the iTunes window.

Select and drag items you want (to choose multiple items, Command-click items on a Mac or Control-click items in Windows), then drag them onto your iPod or iPhone icon under Devices.

To add a playlist, select it from the left side of the iTunes window and drag it onto your device in the same way.

When you are ready to disconnect your iPod, select it under Devices and click the eject icon next to it.

How to transfer music from Windows Media Player to an Ipod 4

I use iTunes on my computer. The directory (directories) where the PM3 music is saved, I can add to the iPod (but also to iPhone and iPad) by clicking on add folder. (Top left menu on the iTunes screen)
When you connect the iPod to iTunes, you can choose the tab music and select what songs you want on your iPod. All this and more is also on the Apple website and in the iPod manual (online manual) Apple wants to seek music on the iTunes store, but you can put all your MP3 music on the iPod for free.

How to upload songs to my mobile from pc

To do this you'll need to have itunes installed. You can get it here.

Once installed, add your music to your iTunes (you can deselect in settings (setting -> advanced -> copy files to itunes media folder) that you want to copy the files to the iTunes folder; do this if you don't want duplicates).

Connect your iPhone with your computer using the usb cable and open iTunes. Select your phone. Now you'll have the choice to either manually add music files or synchronize your entire library. Since you only have 8GB, I recommend to sync your music manually.

Drag and drop the music from your iTunes library to your device (should be in the rop right corner, next to the "iTunes Store" button)
