Question about IBM ThinkPad R40 2722 Notebook
When i push power, there is no visual or audible effect on the laptop. no lights nothing, so i do not know what it could be, is it possible to be the motherboard.
i am having the some problem the battery ran down to less than 2% and now my computer will not turn on. No light when you press the power button, I have re seated the memory. Reseated the HD. Changed AC adapters and still nothing. Please help. Was working until battery ran low.
This could be a problem with the battery, try removing the battery and starting on the adapter only. If this doesn't work, then I'm afraid it is going to be a motherboard problem, most likely with the power management system, this is the most common area with this type of problem. You can take it in for diagnostics, but I'm afraid you're going to end up having to replace the motherboard in order to fix the problem.
