Hi,

If the stick is not working on the both the camera then reseting your camera will not fix the issue. You will have to format your card but you will loose all your pics.IF you have a card reader in your laptop insert the card in it and backup all the pics and reformat the card.

If you need anymore help then let me know befroe you rrate the solution.

Do you have a reader on your pc where you can stick the memory?

see if it works there.

if not, reset your camera. You can format the card in the camera or in the computer. whats the error you get or what happens?

use the add a comment instead of requesting another expert. thanks,
Ekse

    i mean reset the unit.

  • tech expert12 Aug 25, 2008

Select all the files and folders that you want to transfer to the memory stick. Then press Ctrl+C (or copy), then go into My Computer. Go into the memory stick folder, then press ctrl+v (or paste)

Also some advice with ME and flash drives - always use the REMOVE HARDWARE SAFELY function - it isn't like XP where you can just take it out! If you don't you risk losing all data and corrupting the flash disk.
it depends upon the system you use.thanks.please rate the solution.

Where do i install the camera memory card into my laptop

According to the manufacture web site that model has a - • 4-in-1 Bridge Media Adapter, with Secure Digital, Secure Digital High Capacity, Memory Stick™, Memory Stick PRO™, Multi Media Card™ [shared slots]
So basically you need to look for just one slot, and you have to use one of those memory formats, If your using something else then it wouldn't work, You'll need a USB adapter that will read your type of media, The slot looks like its on the front edge of the laptop. It'll be a pretty small slot across the front, about where your left thumb would be. Its possible you have a model that didnt have one. The Bridge Media Adapter slot (available on certain models) supports the use of Memory Stick,, Memory Stick™ PRO, Secure Digital™ (SD™), MMC™ (MultiMediaCard™), or xD-Picture Card™ media. These media can be used with a variety of digital products: digital music players, cellular phones, PDAs, digital cameras, digital video camcorders, etc.
Lots of good info and owners manual at. http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=SB&os=&category=&moid=2221250&rpn=PSLB8U&modelFilter=L300-ST3502&selCategory=2756709&selFamily=1073768663
hopefully you can just click on all that,,,,,,

Sony Cyber Shot DSC-H9

Hi,
The camera may display a MEMORY STICK ERROR or C:13:xx message (xx can be any random number) on the LCD screen for the following reasons:
IMPORTANT: If model-specific information is required to complete any of the steps in this solution, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the product. Manuals are available online in the Manuals/Specs/Warranty section of the Sony® eSupport Web site.
  1. Remove and re-insert the Memory Stick® media several times.
  2. The inserted Memory Stick media is not compatible with the camera. Check your instruction manual for information regarding Memory Stick media compatibility.
  3. The inserted Memory Stick media is not formatted. Format the Memory Stick media using the FORMAT option in the camera menu. WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. Formatting will erase all stored data, images, movies, etc., from the Memory Stick media.
  4. The terminals on the Memory Stick media are dirty. Remove the Memory Stick media from the camera and use a soft dry cloth or pencil eraser to clean the contacts. Make sure there are no residual particles on the Memory Stick media before re-inserting it into the camera.
  5. The data on the Memory Stick media or the Memory Stick media itself is damaged. Try using a different Memory Stick media in the camera.

Thanks
Proton

Sony digital still camera dsc-s30 is not show pictures in my pc

I'm sorry you're experiencing difficulty with transferring images from the Camera to the Computer. I have provided a link you can view the steps to transfer images:
http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C170591
The Camera may not be compatible with newer Operating Systems. In that case, you can remove the Memory Stick from the Camera and insert in to the Memory Stick slot on the Computer to transfer the images.
If your computer does not have the memory stick slot, you may purchase one as it does not cost much..
Thanks for understanding.

The camera just says reinsert memory stick. Is there any way to get my pictures off the memory card?

Yes you can load your memory stick to any laptop and get it downloaded. Most of the present day has a memory slot and you will be able to retrieve the data from the memory stick. If the slot does not accept then use an adapter. I hope you can try this out with the help of any friend who has one such device. Hope this helps. Good day

Sony dsc-f717 memory stick error I have a problem with my camera mentioned above, error number is C:32:01 that shows after I take several pictures or a short video. I changed the memory card into a new one...

A letter and number error code of C:13:xx is an indication the recording media (floppy disk or Memory Stick® media) you are using is either not supported for use with the camera, not formatted properly, or is damaged or faulty. Since you have swapped out the memory already and reformatted it, we'll probably have to assume that the reader is dirty. But first make sure that you re-formatted the stick using the camera, not a computer, as Sony claims that a computer format is not supported.

CLEANING THE READER

Blow into the stick slot with a can of compressed air, using a q-tip. If it still doesn't work you may need to buy a commercial memory card slot cleaner.

My sandisk memory stick pro duo wont work anymore

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC T70 and it keeps saying "Reinsert memory stick" whenever I turn on the camera or slide down the camera lid. Also, whenever I try to view the pictures on my laptop it shows "Please reinsert the memory stick" something along those lines. As I have been researching for the solution, I would have to format the memory card. However, I wouldn't want to lose the pictures as I just took many as from the holiday last week. The only problem is the memory card, I tried using another memory card and it works fine with the camera. There is nothing wrong with the camera.\r\nCan someone please help me how to solve the memory stick problem? It would be great. Ty.

Memory stick duo not showing pictures

It may be that you actually have the pictures stored on the camera's onboard memory and you may have to plug the camera in directly to access the pictures. Or Sony may have a strange way of accessing the files on the device (they have done the same with their MP3 players), so you may be limited to using their software to get the pictures off the camera (or memory stick).
