The control panel is not working properly. The ac will come on but cannot set any of the controls, e.g. temperature, time. We replace the control board with a new one but are still having the same problem. What now???

Re: Haier HWR10xC6 air conditioner
HEY< the only thing to tripp the breaker is commpressor pulling too many amps due to running hot by not getting rid of enough heat thru the back coils. I bet the inside of the back coils are getting plugged up! Thank-you-very-much!

Could have quite possibly tripped the circuit breaker. If it is a 230volt unit, there will be two breakers, they are usually joined together and probably 20 amp. Trip them all the way back and then all the way forward. If it is a smaller 120 volt unit there will only be one breaker, more than likely a 15 or 20 amp. Hope this works. Also, on newer models the plug may contain a reset button. It will be right on the head of the plug itself.
HEY, sounds like it time for a full clean-up. Take the cover off and clean the drain ports, the filter in the front of the unit, the back inside coils, oil the fan motor, wash the front coils, ,, The water blowing out could be because its not leanning back enough, & the coils or filter is plugged and trying to **** air anywhere it can ,even thru the drainnage system! Thank-you-very-much!
I had a problem with my Haier Air Conditioner also and was getting an E8 error message. We had taken the air conditioner out to clean it and when we put it back in all we could get was the E8 error message. We tried several different things so I don't know if it was a combination or luck. Here is what we did.
First we tried holding in all the buttons on the panel and another person hit the on/off button on the remote (per a suggestion on the internet). The fan stayed on, but the compressor would cycle and it would get cold for a few minutes then kick off, but we never could get the buttons on the control panel to work. Nothing happened when we pushed them.
Then we checked the thermostat (the little tube in the front) . The thermostat tube was touching the coils. We rearranged the tube so it was not kinked or touching the coils. It was then getting cold, but we couldn't control the buttons. So we unplugged it (reluctantly because it was cool then) and plugged it back in and it started working. Hope this helps someone! I don't know if what we did worked or the mother board got wet and just happened to dry out or something.
