I hve a dell xps m170 and im trying to reconfigure my xps cmos set up. I was woundering if u could help me out their i dont have any of my manuels that show how to do that and dell wants money for the manuels and i really cant afford that in the situation im in i really need your assistance and i'd be very appreciative if you could help me in some way.

First of all make sure that there is a wireles adapter on your laptop. There are some XPS M170 Models without one. If you have one, we can try to solve the problem? 1. Make sure that the driver of the Wifi adapter and the Chipset are propertly installed. Try to download the newest driver from the dell web site accordng your os 2. If there is a third party conection software like Conection manager or else, deinstall it an let windows manage your networks Hope this helps you. I will need a screenshot and some further descriptions in order to solve the problem if the 2 solutions above dont help.
Take out your ram sticks and put them back in. Also disconnect your hard drive and reconnect it. Then restart. If this doesnt help you may have a blown power supply.
