You need to activate wireless by using [FN] + [F1]. Unfortunately wireless turns off when you shut down so you need to reactivate it every time. Unless anyone knows a solution to this?

Find out first if your comp is wireless capable, then if it is, see if your wireless network is locked. for what ever wireless you are using you can go to the website and see if there is a way to get your passkey info. once you have that info then you should be able to add you comp. however if your comp isnt wireless capable then you will net a wireless card, pref. the same name as your wireless router.

How to turn on the wireless capability by using a combination of function keys. Have re-installed the driver and turned the switch to on position but windows could not detect.

Make sure Windows is set to manage your wireless. Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Services
Make sure "Wireless Zero Configuration" is started, and is set to Automatically Start.
Good luck.
