On pokemon XD it keeps saying that the save file currupts I have alot of room on it but it still crrupts so what do I do to fix this

  • Fully Corrupt:
When the entire save area of the Memory Card becomes corrupt, the system will inform the player that the Memory Card is corrupt and offer to format it. The card must be formatted before gameplay begins or when the game attempts to access the Memory Card. The exact message may vary from software to software.
Follow the steps for formatting a memory card.

  • Suggestion: It is always a good idea to copy your most important files to a second Memory Card as a back-up.

  • Data Area Only Corrupt:
When only the data area of a Memory Card is corrupt (not the entire Memory Card) the game may not detect this until the Memory Card is accessed. Once it is accessed, the game will inform the player that the file being accessed is corrupt and must be erased. The game will only delete the one file being accessed and will not format the entire Memory Card (Other saved game files on the Memory Card may be OK).
Follow the steps for deleting a file.

  • Memory Card is Damaged:
If the Memory Card has been physically damaged, or has been damaged beyond repair, you will get this message. The Memory Card will need to be replaced. The system may attempt to format the card, but if it cannot it will give the error Memory Card is Damaged. There is no way to recover the game data from the memory card.

This procedure is only used if a corrupted Memory Card is inserted into the Nintendo GameCube.
If required, this procedure will begin automatically when you select "Memory Card Screen" from the main menu. You cannot use this procedure to erase files from a useable Memory Card.
  1. After selecting "Memory Card Screen" from the Main Menu, if your Memory Card requires formatting, a window will appear to ask for confirmation for formatting.
  2. Use the Control Stick to select "YES" and press the A Button
  3. A window will appear to notify you that all data will be erased and ask again for confirmation for formatting.
  4. Use the Control Stick to select "YES" and press the A Button.
NOTE: When you format a Memory Card, all data will be permanently erased and unable to be recovered.

The game says i do not have a memory card.

1.) Clean the contacts of your memory card with a damp cotton bud. The best thing to do is to open the casing and rub a rubber eraser within the contacts until it is clean...
2.) Bad position of memory card in the insertion slot of your console... Try repositioning your memory card in a different angle inside the slot...
3.) You may have an unformatted memory card... Have it be checked for warranty purposes...

My nintedo game cube card keeps needing reformatting?

I also had this problem about 1 or 2 months ago. If it says that your memory card needs roformatting, that means, for some reason it can't read your memory card anymore and you need to erase all your memory, and kind of like make your memory card's system new again. I tried reformatting it over and over again, but it didn't work no matter how many times I tried. You could try blowing into your memory card to see if you can get anything like dust out of it. But if not, Im afraid you'll have to do the same thing I did, I had to buy a new one. That's all I can help you with.

Hope I helped and good luck. Plzz rate.

My memory card is damaged or currupted

Sadly you'll have to format your memory card, it won't be too hard to do it, just go to your memory card in the GC interface and you'll find an option to erase and format your card. It SHOULD work from then on, although some games will cause some memory cards to corrupt. If you want to be on the safe side, just purchase a new memory card, preferably the ones made by Nintendo as they're more stable than 3rd party companies for the most part. Wish you the best of luck!

Memory stick will not read

Try connecting your PSP to your computer with the USB cable and open the files from mass storage to errase the files from your 1st memory card, and try with the second one to see if it opens when connected to computer too.. if not, try another memory card , cus it sounds like the memory card might be the bad one

There are on screen instructions when you are in a game that uses a memory card. Hit the start button to get the main menu and you should see them.
