Question about Korg microKEY USB Powered Keyboard

Open Question

My laptop (running Vista - 32 bit, SP 2) will not recognize my Korg Microkey. I have run the Vista driver for it with no luck. This problem just started this week, but when the computer did recognize it, I was only able to input a few notes in my Encore music notation software before the microkey would quit working.

SOURCE: KORG SP-250. Keyboard powers

There is probably a cable loose that connects the keyboard itself to the processor... OR the key contacts have been contaminated by spilled liquid. The keys are scanned as a matrix. The contacts will be a conductive rubber pressed against circuit board traces. Clean contact "pills" and the circuit traces with ONLY 99% isoprophyl alcohol.
This is NOT for the unskilled to attempt a DIY other than carefully opening and looking for a cable that has come loose.

How to change a fuse on a korg Sp-250

There is no fuse inside SP250. If the unit can't power ON,there maybe damage to the adapter, adapter cord/connector,or broken fuse inside the adapter.
If adapter is in good condition, then the damage is inside SP250.
The possibilities are on regulator section.
Check all parts in this section (figure 1).
Also maybe there is a broken soldering joints at DC input socket.

Ctk 810in usb midi driver for windows 7 32 bit

Casio has this driver on their support page: https://support.casio.com/en/support/download.php?cid=008&pid=20 . Scroll down to the drivers section and click on the link for Digital Keyboards/Piano (excluding PL-40R) for 32-bit OS versions. This link is to the left. Currently the link for the 32-bit versions of Vista, Win7 and Windows 8 is https://support.casio.com/en/support/download.php?cid=008&pid=75 .

I hope this helps.

When was the last time you changed the batteries? You may have gotten a pack of expired batteries the last time you replaced them. I suggest changing batteries.Jimmy

Korg PA800 not booting up

I suspect you have aa pwer supply problem that is supplying low voltage to the unit. The display will light at low voltage but circuitry will not run when voltage is low.

No sound

1. plug in some headphones into the jack.
2. connect to an amplifier or external source.
3. connect midi to a midi-compatible device and determine if device receives signal by pressing keys

If #1 or #2 passes, your speakers are bad.

If #1 & #2 fail, but #3 passes, your setting are set so that there is no sound, but the keybourd still recognizes input.

If all three fail, the keys do not send a signal at all, you should replace the keyboard.
