I have a Latitude E6400 and I'm trying to boot and load a Windows 7 from my Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Pro. My computer recognized the hard drive but is loading a Windows Boot Manager. The Boot Manager gives me this : File: \MiniNT\Windows\System32\boot\winload.exe Status: 0xc000000e Info:The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt. I have checked and the hard drive isn't corrupted and if I don't boot from the hard drive, my computer runs fine. What do I need to do to access my hard drive?

When I plug it into my computer, it says 'access denied' and prevents me from transferring my pictures to the goflex harddrive.

Sounds like Microsofts nuts user file access system. Try connecting to a non-windows machine i.e Linux - if you see the files, that's your problem.

My mac does not recognize my seagate goflex drive anymore

Try the drive on another computer. If it is recognized there, you might be looking at a larger issue on your Mac. If it doesn't, the GoFlex's drive or boards may have failed.

I accessed my Freeagent goflex 1tb on my laptop the first time. but when i tried to use it again, a display shows that the drive is not accessible. access is denied. what can i do? i'm using windows 7...

Switch off and on your Freeagent, that should cause a driver to be loaded. If no change reset your Laptop. You should also upgrade to Windows 10, since WINDOWS 7 IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED.

Can you use a Seagate 500GB FreeAgent GoFlex external Hard Drive with ready boost in windows 7?

Yes, but because it's a hard disk and has low transfer speeds it will actually slow down the pc instead of making it work faster. Ready boost is designed to be used only with memory sticks of the latest generation.

The Samsung Freeagent GoFlex external hard drive is not recognized by Windows 7 OS. I tried to initialize disk under computer management / storage / disk management and got the cyclic redundancy check...

This is a good read on what this error actually means:
http://www.softwarepatch.com/tips/cyclic-redundancy.html

What I recommend is reformatting the drive under Computer Management, and seeing if that fixes the problem.
