I want to restore my acer desktop computer

Unfortunately, these do not come with an OS Disc. I had to do the same thing. Please visit the following Acer website to order the disc.

NOTE: you will need to revisit this site after you have installed the OS to download drivers that are not included in the OS disc. These drivers are seperate from the OS: They include: sound card driver, empowering technology WiFi driver, and possibly USB an Ethernet port drivers.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

I cannot get windows to load up it keeps taking me back to choose between normal and safe mode which none of the options will boot up windows

create a bart pe disc and backup any data if you have any ( this will only work if you have not encrypted anything - you will know if you have encrypted anything as its not something you can do accidentally )

http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/

FAQ on how to create a bart pe is on the site in the FAQ help section so follow that or google for a tutorial and you should be able to create one.

Then boot your computer up with that and recover your data ( obviously you may need to download extra plugins from the bart pe site to be able to use the bart pe disc to recover data - possibly - everything is in the tutorials )

Then do a repair install of windows ( you can just do the repair install of windows but I prefer to make a backup of any data if required )

Otherwise just repair install or a fresh install along with drivers, software etc

When you have your computer as you want it you can use clone zilla or fog ( google them ) free open source apps to make an image of your computer so you can just upload the image back to your hard drive and it will be like you just re installed windows with all the drivers etc.

I'm looking for a recovery disc for an A620N. It

here is HP's page for ordering new discs http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00707939&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=228&product=424215
unfortunately, the only way to restore the system is to recover or make a fresh install. one requires recovery discs , the other a LICENSED copy of windows (then download your drivers here:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=424215
I wish i could sent you my copy , but i would be breaking the law..Hope this info helps ....REGARDS..

Need recovery disc for laptop model dv2745se

This is a fairly new laptop, it should have come with either a recovery disk or a recovery partition on the HDD. You should be able to still purchase the recovery media from HP. Have you contacted them?

Recovery partition (including possibility to recover system, applications and drivers separately); Optional re-allocation of recovery partition; Recovery CD/DVD creation tool; Symantec™ Norton Internet Security™ 2008 (60 days live update); Notebook Help & Support

This is a feature of the notebook from the HP support site.

Resetting

By factory settings, I am assuming you are reffering to the Operating System, or Windows XP.  If this is not a correct assumption, please let me know.
Unfortunately, there is no way to reset the PC to a factory default configuration with out the discs provided by the manufacturer.  Those discs not only contain the operating system install files, but also any drivers that are used that are specific to models made by that manufacturer.
Newer PCs skip the need of discs by creating a "Recovery Partition" on your hardrive.  Think of this as a snapshot taken of your PC just as it leaves the manufacturer.  It is possibly to boot to this partition, erase you current configuration, and restore this "factory default" configuration.  Unfortunately, this option is not available on your specific PC model.
It is possible to re-install the Windows operating system by using any type of Windows install media (CD,DVD,etc), but you will also have to download any special drivers (video card, sounds card, printer) from the manufacturer's web site.

NEW 320 GIG HD CAN I USE SUPPORT CD TO INSTALL XP HOME ON IT?

Hi there

1) A computer never comes with a Microsoft Disk so you will not be able to recover you Windows XP Home, unfortunately the best thing to do is just buy the Genuine disk from Microsoft, and the reason why i say unfortunately is because these disks turn out very expensive.

2) What you need to do is set up your new hdd as a slave and then copy everything from your main hdd to your new hdd then shut down your pc and take both the master and the slave hdd's out and then change your new hdd to be the master hdd and you should be set! All you need to do then is connect it back to your pc and start it up. Please also remember to give this solution a good rating.

Kind regards - Hope this helps you!
