It says that i dont have sound devices in my pc they were working perfectly 3 hrs. ago this has happen before i just turn off the pc and everything back to normail but not this time what can i do to fix it?
If you haven't picked up a virus, try this:
- Open the Control Panel
- Open Sounds and Audio Devices
- Open Hardware
Look for a device with some name and model number with 'Audio' behind it.
This will be the maker of the sound hardware.
Close the two latter functions and open System
- Open Hardware
- Open Device Manager
- Locate Sound, video and game controllers and open
- Locate the name you found previously
- Highlight and delete ( or uninstall) it
Restart you PC.
This should force Windows to recognize it again and look for and hopefully find the device drivers for it.
It is possible that as often happens, Windows just shot (corrupted) the device driver for the heck of it.
If this doesn't work, you need to run an online scan of your system or run your current AV program to see if something is tinkering with your sound facilities.
Check the device manager and see under sound, video and game controllers folder if the sound card drivers are installed properly. it might just be a re-installation of the drivers for your sound card.
