Hey my InFocus LP530 wont detect my pc/laptop, ive changed the auto sorce select to on but still nothing, so i changed it to off and tried all sorces manually but still nothing, Any ideas?

set the pc screen resolution to a low setting.
connect the vga output on the pc to an external monitor and check that the video appears on the external monitor. change the mode of operation on the pc until it does appear.
then disconnect the external monitor at the end of the vga cable, and connect the free cable end to the projector and auto source search for the vga input signal

Infocus LP530 will turn on and work great for 15 minutes then shuts down and the green light turns orange and blinks. The Bulb only has 283 hours on it.

The ambient temperature in the room is to high.
Try lowering the room temperature. If that doesn't work get a small fan and place it near the projector ro provide extra cooling. The projector is running border line on high temperature and just needs a little extra cooling.

I am trying to set up an InFocus LP400 projector with my computer. I followed the instructions using the CableWizard Lite cable for my laptop pc and get no projected image. I used the suggested port...

Hello,

start the connecting all over again, by following the steps below:

1. Turn your computer off.

2. Connect the cable from the computer to the projector. If you want to have your monitor to be hooked up as well, connect a splitter to the video out port (DVI or VGA). You can also just hook the projector up to the second port on your video card (If you have one) or if you have a laptop, you can connect to the video out port on the back.

3. Turn the computer on and boot into your desktop.

4. Turn on the projector. Most projectors have an auto detect function, that will detect a video signal and auto configure the projector to display that signal. If you have a laptop, you have to hit a function key to activate the second display. Usually this is FN Key + F5 or one of the F Keys across the top of the laptop keyboard. It looks like two squares, one empty and one with something in it.

5. Adjust the focus, brightness, contrast, and color on the projector.

6. Aim the projector at something white. Try not to aim it at something highly reflective.

7. Step back ... Load up your favorite game or video ... and enjoy.

Your project should work, after following the above instruction.

Good luck.

Image is upside down

Hit the menu/select button to bring up the menu either on the projector or on the projector remote then go down until advanced is highlighted then press the menu/select button then move down until Ceiling Project is highlighted and hit the menu/select button again to get the image right side up. If you have the manual for the projector this information can be found on page 34.

Dell 3300mp Projector No Signal found to Digital DVD

Guys, the projector doesn't do HDCP.  HDMI won't work.  You'll need to run over component or VGA.

Dell 2200mp searching for signal

One problem may be that you must tell the PC to send the signal to the external monitor. Usually, if you hold down the function button and hit the F5 key you will see several options on the screen. (Other laptops use different function keys. Look for the one that shows two tv screens. You want the option which shows the laptop and the external monitor.) To advance between options, you hit the F5 button again and it moves over to the next option.

My computer needs me to lower the resolution on the laptop in order to send the signal to the projector. If you also need to do that, you can do it in Control Panel, Display, and Settings, and lower the resolution on screen number 1.

Doing both of these things should work.

Also, confirm that it is finding signals by hooking it to a DVD or video and see if it finds the signal through one of the other ports.
