Datacard does not make nor do windows 7 drivers exist, the printer is obsolete and end of support from datacard was in 2006, you need to upgrade your printer. Check TulsaBiz.net or Midwestidsolutions.com for more info.

Hi, I have the card Printer Edisecure DCP340+ it was working perfectly, I just format my PC and tryed to install it again ! The problem when i connect it to any PC it is recognized as DATACARD SP55

If you re-formatted the PC, then you likely wiped out the instance of the correct driver for your printer. Windows typically does not come with a driver for any but the most popular ID-card printers. When you reconnected the EdiSecure printer, it likely associated it with what it believed to be the closest driver to the one required (but missing) - the Datacard driver. To correct:

1. Through the Windows Control Panel, then Device and Printers (or Printers and Faxes if WinXP), find the instance of your printer (set up as Datacard); right-click on it; select "Remove Device" (or "Delete", if WinXP);
2. When complete, disconnect the printer from the PC;
3. Through Windows Control Panel => Programs (Add/Remove Programs if WinXP), find and un-install any instances you find of Datacard programs or drivers;
4. Reboot your PC;
5. From either the printer's install disk, or the manufacturer's website, download and install the correct driver for your Windows OS. If prompted to re-boot, do so. NOTE - do not connect the printer to the PC until you are either prompted to do so by the driver-installation program, or the installation completes normally and without errors.
6. Connect the printer to the PC. Give Windows time to recognize the device, associate the new/correct driver, and tell you it's ready for use.
7. Check in the Windows print center (Control-Panel=>Devices & Printers (or Printers & Faxes) to verify that it is now recognized as an EdiSecure printer.

Am trying to install Datacard sp35 plus card printer driver on windows 7. It says it cannot see usb connection. When i installed it on windows xp, it worked fine

Make sure you have the driver available. Then click on the "add a device" under the hardware and sound tab. Windows should start looking for connected devices and find the Datacard. Then when it starts to install it windows will ask for the driver location. Now the problem is windows 7 is so new that there might not be a driver available for it to run the datacard and the windows xp driver might not work. So also check the manufacturer's website for a updated driver.

I need vodafone datacard drivers for windows 7 does any1 know whers i can get them?????

Go to Microsoft.com and check the WIn 7 side to see if they have any solutions, if not go to the Forums and seach for your datacard name, on the win 7 forums and see what others have found, is the way I do it, when testing new software for Microsoft....

and When I was Testing Win 7 there were a lot of issues with cards of all sorts.

Centering the print on the card (Magna w/ait)

card alignment is adjusted via the smart driver tool panel (edge to edge settings) it is done via software, there is no adjustment possible in the printer.

Overlay module not communication with printer

you would need to replace the entire lamination assembly, it would not be worth cost for parts or time, buy same model printer used or trade in your current for discount on a Datacard CP80 Plus Printer
