Empty the debris filter at the bottom (take the bottom bit off and turn the dial thingy) There will be water coming out so put towels down.

Yes you can fix this yourself but you really need to let a specialist do this so you know that it is done so it wont leak. it may costly at first but it will be worth it.
if you want to do it yourself go online and type in hiya.com and go to their website and type in your model # and get your ser# and then call your local dealer in your area that deals in washers of that sort and order part and go to work.. good luck..

hi i also have a samsung p1453 that will not spin when the digital counter gets to 9 mins remaining it jumps back to 10 mins and wont go through the spin cycle the pump is working fine and emptying as it should cann ot see anything blown on the pcb

The fault can be related to faulty drain pump or timer control board.As you mentioned in your question that pump is clear then this problem is related to timer control.
If the washing machine is filling properly and doing the wash cycle then not going to spin cycle check the door switch and door.The spin cycle will not start if door switch is weak or faulty.
If door switch is checked ok then its timer related problem.Remove the timer control out and check its connection to the main control board.Wiggle the connections a bit then reconnect and check.If still the same problem then its timer.
