Extensions i have vodavi xts-ip phone system. i have extra ports on my patch panel for phones but some ports dont have the same lines (telephone numbers). i believe this is a programing issue and i prob need some software to reconfigure it

There is a MOH (music on hold) port on the back. you can use any standard on hold unit like the OHP 6000. If you need any more help please feel free to contact through my website www.holdtel.com.

You're probably looking in the EXTENSION USER'S GUIDE. The sytsem installation/programming manual has the proper FLASH codes and programming access to make it work.

As far as the random calling, try changing phones with another and see if the problem stays with the set or the location. If it's set, you have a bad one, if location, I'd be looking at a wiring error.

The reason it doesn't transfer is because there is an extension plugged into the jack you are trying to transfer to. Unplug and do it again. If this is helpful, please post as such.

You can try unplugging the power supply and phone lines for a few minutes. Then reattach the phone lines and power up to re-boot.
Our Vodavi 5000-00 used to blink off during thunderstorms until it finally fried. This is how we used to reset it.

TRANS, VM button (440) then the extension number or their pre-programmed button.
