normally I would suggest you check a different browser for the internet. So for example if you are using internet explorer try to use Firefox, you may have to download it.
Also you may have a firewall blocking the site.
Try a different browser and hit me back if it doesn't work.

I had the same problem. Here was my successful solution:
reset the modem
only change the SSID (do not activate the security yet)
reset the camera
install the camera
set the static ip address
set the SSID to match the modem and save settings
unplug the power and the ethernet to the camera
plug in the power to the camera and wait for the lights on the front are illuminated
go back into the camera and set the security settings
go into the modem and set the security settings.

I hope this works.

Well, I've used logitech hardware before and more often than not the error is on the side of their software. If skype says the microphone is working then it is. The tricky part is saving and recording the video.

It is much easier to simply have a live chat with your boyfriend over skype, but if you must record and send the video i suggest using skypecap (google it), it's a free download and will serve your needs great.
