Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
I have had my psp for a couple of years.it was working well for about a year when the sound packed up.sometimes when i turn my psp on the sound will come on but you can not turn it up or mute it.sometimes i will turn my psp on and the sound will simply not come on at all.i have tried turning it up and everything but whatever i do it will not work.

Just adding to fixe_you comment.
What he's trying to say is if it doesn't work that way too then is the whole sound/ mem stick board that needs to be changed. But even if you can hear the game through your ear phones you board still needs to be replaced because sooner or later you will hear no sound coming out of the phones or speakers.
What happens is (not referring to you) is some owners leave there ear phones plugged in to there psp and ether wrap the cord around there psp pulling on the jack itself. And or holding on to the cord while the psp hangs. but all in all it happens.
