Touch screen doesnt work

Hi, it's possible that the ribbon connector for the screen isn't making good contact.
I recently repaired my son's with this problem.
I took it apart and put a piece of masking tape over the connector clip and it's worked ever since.
I f you want to have a go there is a video on youtube which demonstrates how to replace the touch screen, it will show where the connector is.
Good luck!

Turn on DS Lite, goes to health page, then to calendar/clock page, then to Pictochat automatically. then it picks a room and you can't get out and can't navigate the DS at all. Help, please.

Hi
Chances are your touch screen is faulty.
If you have warranty then send it in, if not you can try and repair it yourself, its pretty easy to do.

Buy yourself a new touch screen (I use ebay at around £3-£4 per screen), take apart your Ds lite, open the respective flexi-cable connectors, remove the flexi-cables from the motherboard, CAREFULLY peel the touch screen away from the bottom screen, peel off the surround, place it onto the new touch screen, attatch the new touch screen to the bottom screen, reverse the dismantling process and with any luck you have sorted out the problem.

Hope this helps.

Ds touch screen and main screen not working - connectors broken

if you would have sent it to me first I would have replaced the case for you and you wouldn't have had these problems, but I can still help you out. I have a white nintendo DS lite in stock that I had to replace the bottom lcd display in. I will ship to you for $90 and if you are feeling adventurous send me your parts and I will take off $10 since I have no clue what is broken and what is not, but to me it sounds like the bottom lcd, touch screen , and circuit board are trash.
Thanks

Reseating Touch Screen Ribbon Cables

The cable for the touchscreen is one with 4 conductors that connect directly to the overlay on the face of the LCD. The flat ribbon connector on the main board is quite delicate. The three connectors for the bottom screen are on the right side of the component side of the DS phat board. The touchscreen is labeled P6. On the DS Lite, the connector is closer to the R button.

Good Luck

Nintendo ds calibrating

Hi,
I`ne been working on my dauthers now for a few days.
I have found that in the calibrate screen, if i click the first point (top left), then click the second (bottom right), but instead if clicking the third (middle), i click 4 squares to the right. It puts me in to the test screen....... Now if i play around in the calibration screen, i can ajust where the points of contact happen. I have a feeling that its like a mirror, each one can be turned in different directions, reflecting where to pick up the stylist. If any one finds this help to them, and finds out what excatly what to do...... please, please can you leave a post, expaining what to do
