With a full load the drum wont spein. but spins good with no load

Drum is cradled on small wheels and a long belt around it. Sounds like the belt is broken

Thanks for the quick responses.Pulled front cover,ran a load on high level, no leaks .Ran a load on super level and when drum spins when full of water water level rose and poured out of left front side on top of drum. Pulled plastic ring on top of drum and and found piece of seal missing where leak occured .Ordered upper tub seal, should solve problem

Please check the belt and also check the friction of the drum. If this is good then the motor capacitor must checked, you can couple a capacitor in parralel to confirm;

Could be:
1. Broken spring(unlikely)
2. Bad shock absorbers (maybe)
3. Broken spyder-the Inner drum part that holds the drum to the hub(kinda likely). If inner drum can be moved without outer tub also moving in tandem, then broken spyder is likely.

An UE Error Code is indicative of a “Unbalanced Error”. This indicates that the drum is not spinning in a smooth rotation. It may be necessary to rearrange the load in the drum. Also you have mentioned that the drum with full load has no such problem. It means that the drum cannot manage its weight in that position. So the problem might b adjustable easily. Try to remove the top panel and check for any slight movement in the position of the drum. Leaving it continue this way might increase the probability for the error to be repeated with the load. Will add some links related to internal diagrams of this model when i find some that might help you to check the drum inside.

most modern machines have an out of balance detector to prevent the machine being damaged with a badly balanced load.
with a single item in drum, load will not balance and out of balance detector comes into action and prevents spin

more than one cause
first - have the transit bolts been removed? you can check this by putting your hand inside the drum and check it has movement.

second - if loaded with a load which won't balance, there will be more vibration. always try to wash a full load

third - select the spin program with no load and watch to see if the drum speed picks up slowly - ie doesn't burst straight into spin

fourth - check appliance drains properly

top loaders use the same motor for wash pump and spin to spin the clothes the motor direction is reversed and a solenoid releases the drum brake allowing the drum to rotate this is governed by a set of clutch shoes in the pulley if these are worn then the machine wont spin at full speed but ol on the display indicates overload so check the solenoid is releasing the drum usually heard as a loud clunk on spin start

Lubricate the motor plate the whole motor slides back and forth to switch from spin to wash. Not a good design very problematic.
