Open it up and push the prongs back through- it happened with mine, but the screws have quite pain in the arse ends, so you will have to find the correct screwdriver. it looks kinda like this=

The cartridge in not going down in the slot even when its forced

Hi, Don't force it. You can damage the gold plating on the cartridge. With a good light look at the prongs in the cartridge make sure they are not bent. Then try carefully inserting it.. Good luck

Its possible something was inserted by accident and bent the pins that touch the contacts on the game and now they don't touch so it can't read the game. Also try blowing it out with compressed air, dust buildup or just something foreign in there can gum up the works.

Bent prong in the slot where we put a ds game

SOD69 is right.
Contact Nintendo,
This problem happened with me too.
Let me tell you what they are gonna do:

They are going to tell you to fill out a page of your adress, put in your box and mail it to the post office, and then they will mail it to the Nintendo Office. With your DS and the form in the box.
(Please make sure you have the game out, slot 2 gamepak and stylus out. It may get lost.) They will mail it back in 3 weeks.
A sewing needle might push the prong down in system. and damage it,so don't do any harm to the DS or else Nintendo will cost you. Its basically free.

Not that common a problem. Have one on my desk at the moment with the same problem. It seems that the game bent two of the contacts in the card reader (ds lite game section -slot 1). I opened the slot and straightened the two pins and this solved the problem.

Be careful if you are doing this as it is quiet tricky with a good few small parts.

Erratic power on and off

sometimes the connector can break loose from the board, there is very little solder holding them on and this would cause erratic behavior, everything is so small that the slightest improper connection causes big problems.
lets get you fixed up.

Nintendo dslite wont turn on.tried charging it wit 3 different charges and it still wont charge

Ensure that you are properly recharging the battery.

1. Insert the small end of the adapter into the external extension connector (labeled "5.2V=IN") on the back of the Nintendo DS Lite, just next to the SLOT 1 Game Card opening.

2. Swing the prongs on the AC adapter until they lock into place, then insert it into a standard (120 volt) outlet.

The plug should be mounted vertically or on a floor outlet (such as a power strip).

3. Once the adapter is properly inserted, the unit will begin to charge (the orange charging light will display).

4. Once the DS Lite is fully charged, the orange charge light will go off.

Check the AC Adapter for damage (such as bent prongs or split wires). If you see damage to the AC Adapter, purchase a replacement from Nintendos Online Store.

Try plugging the AC Adapter into another wall outlet. Its possible the outlet is not working properly and has not been charging the Nintendo DS Lite.

If you are unable to get power to your Nintendo DS Lite, despite trying to properly recharge the unit, then your system will need to be repaired.

Nintendo offers convenient repairs, fast turnaround times and, for all systems repaired, a new one-year manufacturer's warranty.

Nintendo ds lite won't read card

had this problem, i looked into where the game goes and one of the little metal teeth was bent, so i took a long toothpick and gently pushed it back over now it works fine. Be careful that you dont break it off though.
