Hi Sweet Chris,

You don't have to select mass storage in Android phones just follow the following instructions:

1 Connect your phone to a computer using a USB cable.
2 Phone: Tap Connect your phone. The memory card is mounted to the computer.
3 Computer: Wait until the phone memory and the memory card appear as external
disks in the file explorer(My Computer).
4 Computer: Drag and drop or copy paste selected files between the phone and the computer.

If you find this solution helpful please give feedback.

Regards,
Sandy

How do I down load photo's from my Samsung 2 phone please

First make sure you have the correct USB drivers for your phone installed on your pc. Go to device manager and see if your phone or mass storage device is listed. If not, download the drivers here, http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads. Make sure debugging on your phone is enabled. Please refer to the following:

  1. To set the Samsung Galaxy S2 to USB Mass Storage (MSC) mode, go into "Settings > Applications > Development" and enable "USB debugging".

  2. Then drag the status bar down and tap on "USB connected".

  3. The "USB connected" screen with the large green Android icon will appear. Tap on "Connect USB storage".

A confirmation dialog box will appear. Tap "OK". The green Android icon will turn orange, indicating that the phone is now in USB Mass Storage mode and should now appear as USB disk drives in "Devices with Removable Storage" and be assigned drive letters.

Samsung Galaxy S2 (Android 4.0)

  1. To set the Samsung Galaxy S2 to USB Mass Storage (MSC) mode, go into "Settings > More... > USB utilities" and tap on "Connect Storage to PC".

  2. Then plug the USB cable into the device and connect to your computer.

  3. The "USB connected" screen with the large green Android icon will appear. Tap on "Connect USB storage".

  4. A confirmation dialog box will appear. Tap "OK". The green Android icon will turn orange, indicating that the phone is now in USB Mass Storage mode and should now appear as USB disk drives in "Devices with Removable Storage" and be assigned drive letters.
Samsung Galaxy S2 (Android 2.3)

  1. To set the Samsung Galaxy S2 to USB Mass Storage (MSC) mode, go into "Settings > Applications > Development" and enable "USB debugging".

  3. The "USB connected" screen with the large green Android icon will appear. Tap on "Connect USB storage".

How to copy photos from the phone to the computer

As your using Sony Ericsson you can copy by using two methods first one you can connect your sony ericsson mobile to your computer by using data cable.When you connect to data cable your mobile will ask you to connect by using phone mode,data transfer,print.Select data transfer after that your computer will restart after that you can copy photos which you have in your mobile.You should keep one thing in your mind before removing your mobile from connection you should remove safely.The second way is to remove your memory card from your mobile then place it in to the card reader and connect your card reader to your system from there you can copy your photo.Thanks for your question happy to help you.var geo_Partner = '687b82b2-54e8-44dc-93c0-87c73f39cdb0'; var geo_isCG = true;

Every time i plug in my sony camera to the usb port to upload my pictures, my camera will say " usb mode. connecting to mass storage" then that will go away after a few seconds and then it...

Hi,

The "USB mode" and "Connecting to Mass Storage" message will get displayed when the Camera is connected to the Computer and is recognized by the Computer as a Mass Storage device. This is not an error message and is a normal operation.
You can change the Mass Storage settings in the Camera (depends on the model) The USB Select or USB Connect option in the Camera can be changed to PTP, Mass Storage or PictBridge mode. Set the option in the Camera to PTP and connect it to the Computer and check if the Computer is recognizing the connection. Once the computer is recognized, it appear as a removable Drive.
You can transfer the images from the Camera to the Computer from the Removable Drive by copying and pasting.

Thanks for contacting FixYa.

Need driver for PRAKTICA DC Slim 315

Sounds like you have set it to PC Cam mode. If you put it in Mass Storage mode, you don't need a driver to use it.

To put it in Mass Storage mode: Hold the Mode button while it's turned on. Select the 3rd option that appears (looks like a Swiss army knife) by pressing the button to take a photo.

Scroll down and change USB Mode to Mass Storage.
