1. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.
put the cables back and switch on

Dear sir/madam,

Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred. Step2 Turn off the printer. Step3 Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper. Step4 Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge. Step5 If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.

If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly (see A). The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam. Step7 If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper (see B). Don't force anything, though. Step8 Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on. Step9 If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.

thanks
good luck

This is a sample guide;

I have a Samsung Printer - 41093dd.jpgWell I fixed it!!! Here's what I did. You see this picture of the cover opened? Where the arrow's pointing is the home position of the printer head. Under there I found a scrap piece of paper! Here's exactly what I did. When I got home I decided to plug it in to see if it would work, but it made the same noise and showed the same error message as before. I opened the cover as shown above. This resets it, and it says "close cover". I closed it, and AS it started to go through its routine I OPENED IT again, and I could see the printer head moving back and forth. At this point I used a flashlight to see where the home position of the Head was, and that's where I found the scrap of paper!
I unplugged it for safety and was able to remove the scrap with my fingers.
By your descriptions, referring to the other users, you just might have the same problem.

Hope this may help;

Regards,
VOTIT

There is a little plastic lever/flag which detects the paper at the rear, just after the heat section. I think on this model it can just about be seen by opening the rear door, it should be in the middle of the black lower paper guide section. The "flag" should be protruding slightly to be activated when the paper passes. However if it is stuck down (hence giving you false paper jam message) it will be more difficult to see, Use a flashlight to help see.

Hope that helps.......

    I
had this problem too. For me the answer turned out to be the paper
sensor in the back part of the machine, behind the little back door
just under the top part of the machine. This sensor hangs down from a
thin rod that runs across the width of the machine, and is held in
place by a small spring that encircles the same rod that supports the
finger. The finger had apparently gotten moved so the spring was
dislodged from its proper place. I was able to rotate it around the rod
with my finger & get the spring moved back to where it should be.
This seems to have cleared the problem--I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Despite the paper jan 2 error, can't you already print or not? If not, There are still papers inside the printer, a torn piece which you can't see. Look thoroughly inside the printer. Try to press the Resume and Power button for 15 seconds then release.

How do I clear paper jam

The flashing error code that indicates a jammed printer is the digital-age equivalent of a flat tire. Sooner or later it happens to everyone, so you'd better know how to get things moving again if you want to finish your print job.

1.Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.

2.Turn off the printer.

3.Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.

4.Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.

5.If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.

6.If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly (see A). The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

7.If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper (see B). Don't force anything, though.

8.Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.

9.If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.

ESP5200printer,new,paper jam message

Hi slicknick58,

Paper jam message occurs when there are stuck papers inside the printer. There are several ways on how to correct this problem, either you remove the visible stuck paper manually or replace the toner or ink cartridge. Below are the steps you'll want to follow when this problem still occurs.

1. Turn off the printer. Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam.

2. Inspect the location or tray the printed paper ejects to. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.

3. Open the printer door that allows you access to the printer ink cartridges or toner and look for any stuck paper. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.

4. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.

5. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

6. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper . Don't force anything.

7. Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.

8. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path and try repeating the above steps again.

Hope it helps.

Here are few instructions on how to clear the paper jam on your printer.

How to Clear a Paper Jam on an HP Inkjet Printer 1. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer before you begin. With the power disconnected, you will protect yourself from being shocked. This is an important step when you are fixing any type of electronic device.
2. Move your printer so that you'll have access the back panel. Unhinge the back access panel of the printer.
3. Look for paper through the opened back panel. Remove any paper you find jammed.
4. Close the back access panel. Make sure that it latches into place and looks the same way it did before you opened it.
5. Open the front or top access panel. This is the panel you use to access ink cartridges. If the carriage that holds the ink cartridges moves, then you forgot to unplug the printer. Go back and do that now. Look for paper that may be jammed in this area of the printer.
6. Remove any paper you find jammed here. There will be resistance from the paper feeder, so pull slowly or the paper will rip and create a more serious problem.
7. Close the front access panel. Make sure that it latches back into place.
8. Plug the printer in and attempt to print again. If you can print successfully, you have removed the paper jam.

Hope this helps.
