One advantage us dealer tech's have over a week end warrior is that we have factory service repair information and have factory scan tool ,Tech 2 , to check data coming into the instrument cluster . Most of you probably don't even think about how that coolant temp infor shows up on the gauge , except by a coolant sensor !
High Temperature Indicator
The high temperature Indicator function handles the control of the Engine Temperature Gauge Display and the red High Temperature indicator. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) reads the Coolant Temperature Sensor, filters the messages, and sends the coolant temperature to the instrument cluster via a Class 2 serial data message. The PCM monitors the coolant sensor in order to determine a fault. The PCM transmits the Class 2 serial data coolant temperature report messages to the instrument cluster for the temperature gauge display and for the high temperature indicator control.
The instrument cluster receives the engine temperature data in the Class 2 serial data message from the PCM. The instrument cluster converts this data into a temperature gauge pointer position which drives the gauge pointer. The instrument cluster also uses this data in order to determine the high temperature indicator control.
The Body Control Module (BCM) looks for the high temperature indicator Class 2 serial data report from the instrument cluster and triggers a chime when the indicator is ON.
Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop , rather then just replacing parts .
I had the same issue with my unit - I just needed to clean the air intake filter. The system will lock-down if it isn't getting the right air pressure / overheating.
It's easy to do, you just grab the lower back sides of the cover and lift it up and away from the unit. The filter is at the front of the system and can be pulled up and out for cleaning. You can then clean the filter with water / soap water.
There are also instructions in the manual about checking the flame - you can do this while the filter is off. There's a little window into the burner and you should be seeing a predominately blue flame.
The ambient temperature in the room is to high. Try lowering the room temperature. If that doesn't work get a small fan and place it near the projector to provide extra cooling. The projector is running border line on high temperature and just needs a little extra cooling.
If the Ecn or Ec Message is Alternating with the Water Temperature on the Display, the Spa is Operating in the Economy Heating Mode.
If the Ecn or Ec Message is ON Solid (Not Flashing)
on the Display, the Spa is Operating in the Economy Heating Mode, but
there is No current water temperature because the Spa is between Filter
Cycles.
From the manual.
Message on the display(electronic models)
E4 1. Failure in the inside temperature sensor
E5 2. Failure in the outside temperature sensor

I have the manual for this dishwasher an error code 003 means "longer heating time, but not reaching required temperature" and the possible cause is written as "Malfunction of temperature sensor or heating element". Hope this helps.
