Code f 71

Check to see whether the laundry drum to the washer moves. If it does move, then the user interface needs replacing. If the drum is locked and will not move, you need to replace the central control unit on the washer.

I have a Whirlpool front load washer WFW9400SW and I am getting an error code of F71. The washer stops , sometimes after it has been running just a few minutes.

What does F71 mean ? This comes up half way through the cycle

If you get similar problems in the future, and machine gets stuck in error mode with clothes inside, empty water from tub disconnecting the drain filter, located behind a panel in front lower side of appliance. After emptying water the door will normally get opened.

Problem with my washer

I have a GHW9100LW1 model washer and discoverd that if you remove the front bottom cover three screws there was a tech sheet mounted on the right hand side in plastic this sheet has all the error code explanations maybe that yours has a copy in it also.

From what i have out it is it sounds like you need a new interface board,and if theres no warantry,it will be expensive to fix.

Same F70/F71 error shows and it stops working. Only 2-year old from brand new. Shame on Whirlpool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
