There are two ways to change the language of the front-panel menus
and messages:
- If the current language on the front panel can be
understood, go to the front panel and select the icon, then select Printer configuration option
followed by Front panel options
and then select language.
- If the current front panel language cannot be
understood, start with the printer powered Off. At the front panel, press
the Select key and hold it down. While holding the Select
key down, press the Power key and hold it down. Continue to hold down both keys
until the green light on the left side of the front panel starts flashing,
then release both keys. A delay of about one second can be expected. If
the green light starts flashing without any delay, it may need to be
re-started.
No matter which method is used, the language selection menu should
now appear on the front panel.

Highlight the preferred language, then press the Select key to change the language.
