I have a DELL 3200MP DLP projector that has been working fine up until now. It powers up & down just fine, and the picture still looks good, but I've noticed it's getting really hot. It appears that the fan is not running. I'm a bit of an A/V geek, so I was going to take it apart to look at it to check the connection to the fan, but if the connection is fine, then I may need a new fan. Where would I look to track down a replacement fan for that model? Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.

You need a replacement color wheel (that is the name of the broken plastic disc, likely glass). I have been unable to source one. Recommend you buy a used projector with a bad lamp, usually less than $100 on eBay and just put your good lamp into it. Keep your old one for parts.
are both of the lamps the same? have you installed it correctly in the socket. you might need to do a cold start for your projector. unlpugg it and try to wait for 5 minutes before plugging it again and turning it on. one your projector detected that a new lamp is intalled, it should work fine now. but if its still not working, you might want to try and replace the new lamp again. sometimes this happens.
Go to ebay.com This projector is in good physical condition and powers on, but it only white. Lamp/bulb is NOT included. Manufacturer: Dell Model: 3200MP, 7W625 Cosmetics: Good Test Results: Tested to power on only. Sold AS-IS, with NO warranty. Accessories: Power Cable, Carrying Case
The ambient temperature in the room is to high. Try lowering the room temperature. If that doesn't work get a small fan and place it near the projector to provide extra cooling. The projector is running border line on high temperature and just needs a little extra cooling.
Did you ever get a solution to this?
I am having the same problem with my 3200MP
The machin will come up but only show a dim white box on the screen. I've purchased another bulb and that was not the problem.
