I had a 2 ton 13 SEER air handler installed last August to replace one about 27 years old. The condenser was installed about 14 years ago and it's rated as a 10 SEER. Is there a problem of them operating...

The air 'handler' is nothing more than a type of fan turned by a motor.
The condenser however is a sealed, closed system with coolant that will need to be properly removed (EPA stuff). The condenser must be installed with care, recharged, then checked for leaks.
There is far more involved than replacing an air mover.

I do most of my repairs myself but sealed systems that must be charged is something I leave up to a pro.

as most ac units are capillary tube control not tx valve having matched units is critical. as for cost the condensing unit is much more complex and expensive than the evaporator.

What could cause carrier fault code 42 besides bad inducer

Could be several causes.
1. Blockage on piping
2. Water in inducer housing slowing down inducer impeller
3. Condensate trap for furnace clogged up.
4. Inducer motor going bad.
5. Leak in vacuum hoses or not connected.

Purchased Rheem 4 ton 16 seer AC installer just left

Ask your installing company for the AHRI number. If installed with a
matching furnace and coil as listed in the certification then you will get 16 seer rating. If they installed something different than what is listed in the certificate then demand all parts listed or a refund.

I Have a doublewide, im wanting to know who i install freon and stop leak in my indoor central heat and air pump.

first you have to have a EPA certification too purchase, and to handle Refrigerant. in order to stop the leak first it must be located and in most cases soldered shut depending on the leaks location if the leak is in the tube sheet of the coils it my be better to replace the leaking coil. if the leak can be repaired the refrigerant must be removed from the system, leaving it in a vacuum then bring it up to atmospheric pressure (0 psi) using dry nitrogen. then the leak can be repaired, after leak has been repaired pressure test system at 120 psi for 20 min. watching gauges to see if pressure drops. If pressure holds, release nitrogen then evacuate system with vacuum pump. most manufactures require a 500 micron of less vacuum to ensure no moisture is in system then charge system according Manufactures Specification. charging and service ports are normally located at outdoor condensing unit where copper piping connects too condenser, charging manifolds are a necessary tool for this repair. I would highly recommend having a HVAC contractor preform this repair, amount of refrigerant that goes into the system is critical to performance of heat pump operation.

I have a goodman 2 ton condeser model number CK24-18 and I was wondering if it would be could use a 10 SEER ADP UNCASED COIL R-22 2 TON?

Yes. The condenser is 1.5 ton and the larger coil will allow for better dehumidification but do not go any larger. Make sure when installed that bioth super heat and subcool are measured to insure proper charge and that system is working at peak performance.

I just installed a GSC140421 using a coil CAPF

hey there, the matching coil for your unit is a Model# CAPF4860C6A. The coil you have installed is a 13 seer where the condenser is a 14 seer. Myy guess at this point without being there is you have a hot house (80 psi suction) while eliminating more heat from the condenser (180 psi). I am also guessing you are using r-22? If you could post your super heat and subcool readings and if ou have a txv or fixed orifice (guessing txv?) I could help you pinpoint the problem.

Extremely long time to get cool air with 5 ton 13 seer goodman heat pump which is 3 years old.

Check your filter. Make sure it is clean. Make sure the outdoor unit is operational. (power on). Clean your condenser coil with a garden hose. If possible check your evaporator coil. If it is dirty clean it. Your furnace (or air handler) blower speed should be set on high. All of your registers (supply & return) should be open and unobstructed. Check for proper thermostat settings. If none of this information solves your problem , then your units charge needs to be checked. You could be over or undercharged with freon.
Good luck......
