See if you can get to the output orifice with the tube from some canned air, and blow it out. Sawdust gets down in the tank and plugs up the orifice. You'll have to empty the tank and flush it with kerosene, or a similar product, after getting the orifice cleared. Once you're sure you've got all the crud out, blow dry the tank and refill with oil, and you should be back in business.

CS302S. How do I replace the oiler?

Although oilers do fail, the most common cause is simply an obstruction in the oil supply line. You can test the line by simply applying a small amount of pressure on the oil reservoir (usually, most of us put our mouth over the hole and pressurize the oil line). If you do not see oil "oozing" out of the plate, where the chain passes by, then you have a blocked line. Make sure that you have remove all of the wood chips out of the line and then try to pass a small wire back through the line - if successful then recheck the line by pressurizing it again. If that doesn't work, disassemble the saw and replace the feed line from the tank to the oiler. If you do have the old style manual pump for oiling - take it out, clear it, and put it back.

How to adjust bar oil for Poulan 3314

Sorry but there isn't an adjustment for the bar oil. You fill it up when you fill the mixed gas. Usually when you need gas you need oil too. Its a good idea to check the level and the bar. Wood chips can clog the oiler port and the tool will need to be disassembled, cleaned and checked.

normally when oiler is'nt working the chain will get hot and tighten up on bar causing load on saw, like the brake is on, check your clutch, it's probably where the noise is, remove bar and chain and start it and see if it's still noisy also when you have bar off run a stiff feeler gauge through the bar grove all the way around cleaning it out then clean oil holes out in bar. The automatic chain oiler does not get oil to the chain. Yes, it has chain oil. The black tube to the top chamber at the bar, seems to be plugged and I cant get it off to clean it out. Thanks, Steve

I have never seen an automatic chain oiler that worked. Even new ones don't seem to work. Just pour a little used engine oil on the bar once in awhile like everyone else does.
In theory there is a small piston that rubs on an eccentric at the chain sprocket, and that sucks in oil and pushes it through a hole, into the center groove of the bar.
But if the piston is dry, it won't pump.
If the holes are clogged with sawdust, it won't work.

Chain oiler does not seem to be putting out enough oil, what can i do to increase the flow?

This model does not have an adjustable oiler. If the ports are clean and the pickup is clean, you may need to replace the pump. This is generally an inexpensive repair.
